I want to get a new Primus CD. I have Sailing the Seas of Cheese. What should I get now?
Antipop, maybe. There's a review of it in the Cd Reviews forum, go check it out. |
If any one finds me a christian band that is similar to: Otep - Battle Ready, Stone Sour - Get Inside, Machine Head - From this day, Slipknot - Pulse of the MAggots, Soul - Halo, or Murderdolls - Lets go to war you shall when a cookie
I am serious u find me some good songs like those I well send u some cookies! (hmm wonders if it even exists)
You could go to the Punk forum and check the Hardcore/Metalcore Education thread. I don't know if they have recommended bands lists or anything, but there seems to be a strong vein of Christian hardcore/metalcore, which may suit your needs. |

The Brown Album or Antipop........personally my favorite is Pork Soda, but it requires a certain taste, and you might have that taste, so check it out too if you want. Can someone recommend me some more Symphony X.......I bought V the other day, but I need to get more, so what should I look for?? |

The Odyssey seems to be the other most popular choice. Don't take my word for it though, as I'm not a great fan of Symphony X.
Could anyone recommend me some singer-songwriter style stuff? Along the lines of Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Nick Drake, Will Oldham (in his various guises), etc, but preferably some lesser known ones. |
Can some one recommend me some Cream?
Wheels of Fire or Disraeli Gears |
Any reccomendations for very keyboard oriented Black Metal. Doesn't have to be super symphonic, just incorperating keyboards well.
Emperor(Prometheus most of all, but IX and Anthems have some synth work) Arcturus Limbonic Art Anorexia Nervosa Diabolical Masquerade(especially Death's Design, incredible album) Satyricon(older) Borknagar Windir |

Windir
Valfar :( |
Valfar :(
:(:(:( I want to get the DVD of the memorial concert when it's released. |
Nevermore - Not only power metal brews from this band... they also have a thrash/deathish/progressive sound to them as well. :D very underrated band
-Albums: Dead Heart, in a Dead World - Most power metalish of all their albums. Dreaming Neon Black- A freaking concept masterpiece... :amaze: Enemies of Reality - Their most recent release, perhaps the most aggressive of them all. A great band indeed. To the guy asking where to go with Symphony X. I recommend that you get V- The New Mythology Suite first, then Oddysey. I concur, Symphony X is great. :thumb: |

Not yet, but I desperately want to. I've heard very, very good things about it though. |

And if so, what's they're best album?? |
What Chic Corea CD should I get?
Return to Forever seems to be the "standard". Technically it's Return to Forever's self-titled, but Return to Forever was 100% Chick Corea's baby.. Check out Zappa's review* of it. I've yet to be disappointed by anything I've heard by Corea, though. * http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=270161 |
Can anyone reccomend some Kataklysm songs?
Kataklysm = Amazing :thumb: I've got "Epic: The Poetry of War", "Shadows and Dust", and "Serenity in Fire", so here I'll give you the best songs off of those 3 albums Epic:The Poetry of War -Ill Diavolo In Me -****ation Is Here -Era of the Mercyless -As the Glorious Weeps Shadows and Dust: -In Shadows and Dust -Beyond Salvation -Chronicles of the Dam*ed -Where the Enemy Sleeps Serenity In Fire: -Ambassador of Pain -For All Our Sins -Blood On the Swans -10 Seconds From the End -Under the Bleeding Sun P.S - For albums, "Serenity in Fire" is the best, followed up by "Epic:The Poetry of War" :thumb: |
and at the gates and amon amarth i like them but i need more music from them
and some Grindcore is Nausea grindcore i downloaded to songs by them one is grindcore the other is like street punk?
For Amon Amarth, anything off of "Versus the World" or "Fate of Norns"....Great Albums For Grindcore, Any old Carcass would do, as well as Heartwork, as Heartwork is more Melodic Death, but it's probably their best. Also check out some of Napalm Death's older stuff.......and yeh I'd say Nasum is grind, I don't think they're all that great though. |
