Progressive Black metal - the FG I have called dibs on for the future. I kind of doubt anyone else but Per Ardua would be really interested in doing it though.
I´d do it if I had the time, but I´m stuck up the final years(otherwise, you´d´ve heard from me by now ;) )
If Countess isn´t mentioned,I will relentlessly flame, though. You were warned ;)

Quo vadis and I can't stress this enough. Sure i post alot about them but they're one of my very favorite bands right now. I haven't found one song by them that i don't like

anti_hero 03-09-2005 12:14 PM

Haven't heard them yet, anyone fancy uploading a track or two?

Arucard 03-09-2005 12:47 PM

Quo Vadis are awesome.

NP : Quo Vadis : Absoltuion (Elements of the Ensemble PT.3)

whatduffhuck7 03-10-2005 06:42 PM

quo vadis rocks. day into night is my favorite cd by them, i posted a review of that cd at sputnik, check it out

OfSins&Shred 03-10-2005 06:47 PM

good job man well done!! but may I suggest one technical death band you may have overlooked.. DECAPITATED!!! my favourtie death metal band
I highly recommend the album Nihility as a 1st album to get by them!!!

Silenius 03-10-2005 07:15 PM

Decapitated are indeed very good.

Freezing Moon 03-10-2005 07:17 PM

The only Decapitated stuff I have is "The Negation". It's pretty good though.

No need to quote the entire FA....

One of a Kind 03-10-2005 09:16 PM

Technical Death Metal = My favorite music genre.

I <3 Necrophagist and am jealous of their musicianship. They are ****ing retarded. They go from brutal death metal tremolo picked riffs and blastbeats to big sweep picking shred solos. I'm amazed at the musicianship.

Believer 03-10-2005 09:16 PM

Martyr from Canada are awesome too... although its argueable if they're death or thrash, but they are awesome non-the-less... I would highly recommend hearing somethings by them.

Oh yah, anybody who hasn't already checked out Death, then you're missing the best band out there

One of a Kind 03-10-2005 09:18 PM

Martyr are very good ****.

I also see Decapitated and Quo Vadis were mentioned. Both very supreme bands.

NP: Decapitated - Mandatory Suicide (Slayer Cover)

Bartender 03-11-2005 09:22 AM

Decapitated bore me, severely. They're neatly talented and technical (even though technicality never struck me as a big aspect of their music), but most of the time they don't seem like they could write a decent song if their lives depended on it.

I have Winds of Creation. It's not bad. I don't get why everyone shits on them so much... yeah, they're not the greatest, but they're decent.
anybody ever hear pro-pain? i guess they can be classified as technical death, there great. i recomend the truth hurts, thats a GREAT cd
Uh, NO. I'm not sure what I would classify them as, but I have heard them and they are nowhere NEAR technical death metal. They aren't even remotely technical.
Martyr from Canada are awesome too... although its argueable if they're death or thrash
They're death.

Vader.. I dunno if they count as technical death, but they're awesome. What are you guys' opinions on them.

br3ad_man 03-12-2005 05:17 AM

Vader are excellent.

Dancin' Man 03-12-2005 08:39 PM

I hate Vader's singer. I love the rest of the band but the singer sounds retarded. Like he wants to growl and sing at the same time and ends up sounding constipated.

TTTSNB 03-12-2005 11:31 PM

I would be forced to agree, but I can deal with that, because I really like everything else.

Dancin' Man 03-12-2005 11:36 PM

Normally I can get past the vocals I don't like, but in cases of Dream THeater and Vader, I cannot.

Stoic 03-13-2005 04:55 AM

Yup, I agree. Plus I dont find most of their songs memorable at all.

I would definitely agree about Dream Theater. Those vocals are so annoying. I try to find instrumentals if I listen to them.

I would really like Dream Theater if it werent for the Vocals..
I would really like Dream Theater if it werent for the Vocals..
Same here. On the brightside, they have many very long songs with very few vocals.

coolidgeALL 03-14-2005 03:22 PM

I tried to download alot of songs in this thread and they were all expired dammit. I was hoping to get into some stuff, cause I like Maiden, metallica, priest, sabbath, helloween, etc. Any newer links?

tunafish_scumbag 03-14-2005 08:15 PM

I know that they're metal core, but Between the Buried and Me has Technical Death elements.

And I just want to know how many of you consider Quo Vadis (Can) to be Tech Death.

chocobo_hunter 03-14-2005 08:30 PM

another really cool technical death band could be....ANATA!!....simply...incredible :thumb:

Dancin' Man 03-14-2005 08:56 PM
I know that they're metal core, but Between the Buried and Me has Technical Death elements.
They are Tech Death/Emo not metal core. There really is a difference.
another really cool technical death band could be....ANATA!!....simply...incredible :thumb:
If Anata hasn't been mentioned, which I think they have, I'm suprised and commend you on having good taste.
