Jesus And The Mary Chain - Psychocandy Weezer - Pinkerton Pixies - Doolittle Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness Gomez - Liquid Skin/The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow sure thats missing something but I think I'd be pefectly happy if those were the only albums I could listen to for the next couple of years.
Looking back over that, I'd probably sub Mellon Collie for Hunky Dory, not much else would change drastically. |
if i put shuffle on "beatles for sale", i'll be happy with whatever comes on. i don't feel this way with any other of their albums. also, i'm compairing it to their early stuff. i feel like after revolver it was a whole different ballgame.
I've always found something strangely appealing about Beatles for Sale too. Very good mix of songs on it and probably their most downbeat (early) album. If it weren't for Mr. Moonlight it'd rate higher with me though. |

The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin' Pavement - Brighten the Corners [I can't pick Pavement albums] Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In People 12 Rods - Split Personalities Slint - Spiderland In no order except Emergency & I being #1. |

I just looked at my list from earlier in this thread and thought it was wrong. I knew that would happen.
|
Mine was weird, too. I think I just picked whatever I happened to be listening to at the moment. Some of those albums I love, sure, but others I probably haven't listened to since.
|
Mine actually hasn't changed all that much.
|
In fact, let's compare how much I've changed in a year.
1. (-) Radiohead - OK Computer 2. (NE) Kraftwerk - The Man-Machine 3. (-) Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible 4. (-) Jeff Buckley - Live At Sin-E (Legacy Edition) 5. (up 1) The Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen 6. (up 7) The Beatles - Revolver 7. (down 5) X Japan - Art Of Life 8. (NE) The Zombies - Odessey & Oracle 9. (NE) Weezer - Pinkerton 10. (down 8) Public Enemy - Fear Of A Black Planet 19. (down 1) Bob Dylan - Blood On The Tracks 20. (down 10) Massive Attack - Mezzanine Casualties - Opeth - Still Life, Kate Bush - Hounds Of Love, Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here, Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life, Jeff Buckley - Grace. Yet all those would make a top 50 easily. The latter two make the top 25, in fact. I overthink these lists. |
This is really just going by the ones I listen to most often and aside from Grace being my favourite, they're unordered.
