me too lol
He sung it but didn't write it. I could be wrong though
Correct.

And whoever says that Ringo was worthless is stupid. They were a band....they all equally made the sound (well...later on you got into the Lennon/McCartney troubles, but lets stay out of that). Solo careers are different though, but as The Beatles, they were......The Beatles!

Thanks for keeping it sane. :)

gmoneyguy 11-25-2004 12:18 AM

we did the best we can with that guy in here

I think Ringo was just as important as the others, after all, he was a very popular Beatle and he's hilarious.

DeusExMachina 11-25-2004 03:12 PM

Well, I'm not a drummer or anything, but I for one think that Ringo was a really good drummer. His style fit really well with The Beatles.

Im not a drummer either but I wouldnt call him that good of a drummer. Sure he's good but there are tons of better non famous drummers. But as you pointed out it's his style that really made him great. :thumb:

My favorite songs are Hey Jude, Day tripper, Help, and Let it be. Daytripper was the first song i learned to play and the first song i heard. Unfortunately middle schoolers think the Beatles are a bunch of sissy girls except for a couple few. One day i brought in a beatles book to school and the kid next to me starting makin fun of me.

Nice man.

Besides Smoke on the Water Daytripper was my first song too.:)
I have also been made fun of for reading a Beatles book.

Same here (about the songs). Why would you get made fun of for that?

To jimi: I bet they are slipknot kids.

BludgeonySteve 11-25-2004 05:58 PM

Middle schoolers are ****s. I was a little **** when I was in middle school (junior high in Canada) and so was everyone else.

They will grow up.

DeusExMachina 11-25-2004 06:12 PM

Yeah, when I was in middle school up until the last couple months of 8th grade, I thought the Beatles were losers, and I listened to stuff like Sum 41 and Blink 182 *ashamed* but I'm more intelligent now. The first song I ever learned to play on the guitar was Blackbird.

BludgeonySteve 11-25-2004 06:21 PM

I've been meaning to get more Beatles albums but they're all like $20. I think i'll just burn my parent's vinyls onto cds.

DeusExMachina 11-25-2004 06:30 PM

How do you burn from vinyl to CD?

BludgeonySteve 11-25-2004 06:37 PM

My dad knows how. I'm not exactly sure.

omgwtfboogie 11-25-2004 06:41 PM

This thread inspired me to pull out my Beatles CDs, and I'm surprised I still know every word to every song, and exactly when to sing it...

It had been years.

"Hey Jude" might be my favorite, but I haven't come across a mediocre Beatles song..

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 11-25-2004 07:02 PM

I've bought every Beatles CD except for Let It Be...Naked and the Yellow Submarine ones. are they worth buying?

Out of curiousity, why did you alternate the letters in your name between upper and lower case? and why is there xxxx's?

I don't know about Yellow Submarine, but Let It Be...Naked is great.

I guess it's what I felt like doing at the time...no specific reason

thanks

DeusExMachina 11-25-2004 08:12 PM

They're all good, but Let It Be Naked is better than the Yellow Submarine. In my opinion.

The Spliggity Splot 11-25-2004 08:38 PM
I'm sure they have a few bad songs. I just can't think of any :amaze:
**why don't we do it in the road

DeusExMachina 11-25-2004 08:57 PM

Hahaha. Man, that song is funny. Not memorable, but I wouldn't say its bad.

The Spliggity Splot 11-25-2004 09:10 PM

I would

Woodstock 11-25-2004 10:04 PM
**why don't we do it in the road
That song is great. It was one of McCartney's best vocal performances.

Seafroggys 11-25-2004 11:07 PM

The worst Beatle song has gotta be Wild Honey Pie. I wouldn't say its bad, but I just can't really stand listening to it voluntarily.

On the contrary, my favorite Beatle songs are Sexy Sadie, Nowhere Man, Here Comes the Sun, Mean Mr. Mustard, Sgt. Pepper's Reprise, She Said She Said.....and boy I should stop because I could keep on going.

DeusExMachina 11-26-2004 12:40 AM

Surprised no one mentioned Revolution 9. Anyone who actually enjoys listening to it on a regular basis is either a liar or on acid. Honestly. Like, occasionally when i'm in a really weird mood I'll listen to it, but honestly, that thing is creepy.

Doop 11-26-2004 12:47 AM
**why don't we do it in the road
Yes! I can't stand the song!

DeusExMachina 11-26-2004 12:15 PM

I always thought in general that The White Album would've been better if they'd cut it down to one disc.
