To all those Thunderstruck-Blabbing-Idiots (no offense): in the studio version of Thunderstruck, he picks every single note of the intro. In his early days, he used one hand live. And now in his present days, he picks every note once again. Watch Stiff Upper Lip Live and this will prove it. Also, I read an article with Angus saying he picks every note in the Thunderstruck studio version.

dude, AC/DC rocks the house! They've got the biggest balls of them all!

thanks man which do you like better |
AC/DC is a little too repetitive for my tastes. Some of their stuff is really catchy, but it doesn't have a long term appeal, like some songs/bands, who just stay with you hours after you hear it for the first time.
AC/DC rock the best Australian rock band ever, Angus Young is a Great Guitarist and joined the band when he was only 14
No he didn't. He started the band with malcolm when he was 17. The media changed his age so he seemed younger and therefore he fit the idea of a school uniform better. |
yea i heard 17 not 14
but that was when they did music videos on the sides of hills in grey as hell UK. |
I never liked them, to me it is just simple boring drunken rock music for idiots.

thanks man |
I used to be a huge AC/DC fan. I've gown tired of them now. All the music sounds to much the same, and there are bands with far better catchy music in my opinion.
|
I love ac/dc. They may not be amazing, but they are real people, who love the music, and rock n roll. Some say there repetitive, thats your opinion, thats what music is. repitition. there are millions of bands, using the same fret boards, the same drum beats, the same key's... its all the same concept. it dosent matter how good you are it matters how creative you are, and how you feel about the music. Anyways, ac/dc is what has gotten me into all the other great bands i listen to, so i have the greatest respect for them. As for a stage presence, they are amazing. As for loving the music, thats what they do. if you dont like it, dont listen to it. dont worry about it. AC/DC is for the fans to love, if your not a fan just dont talk. My music is AC/DC.

Even though I'm no longer into AC/DC, I have to admit, they put on a very good show. |
yeah a hell of a show, i think in that way they are like kiss because alot of people saw them just because of how awsome their shows were, but i believe they ac/dc has way more talent and creativity than kiss!
AC/DC are an awesome band and their songs dont sound the same I got 6 albums and the most common thing that sounds the same is the singing which is one of the major reasons ac/dc rocks they got one of the most original voices out their. Try listening to Money Talks, Thunder Struck, Are You Ready, then listen The Boogie Man, Stiff Upper Lip, Highway To Hell. THose songs dont sound the same do they?
People complain about bands that go bad but AC/DC and Iron Maiden are two bands that havent done that. (and IMO Metallica but thats not who were talking about). AC/DC have stuck to their formula which is kick ***! And Angus is a great soloist and performer! I've only seen videos but with their upcoming new cd "Strap It On" Which if its anything like any of their other cd's it will rock! I hope they come to canada.
My thoughts exactly. |
well except for the bit 'bout canada

rep + Thank you. Someone who actually understands that it is how you feel about the music that counts. AC/DC actually lives the music. |
Malcolm did play all through thunderstruck. But the riff you are thinking of (the one that starts the song) is done by Angus. With one hand. for 5 minutes. and then he still manages to pull off a solo. So even though Malcolm is a great guitarist don't be so quick to knock Angus.
My bad, lol |
just let me say in advance that a lot of people will probably disagree with me on this but im kind of hypocritical on this so here i go....
AC/DC is a good band in the sense that they play catchy tunes that you can hear for the first time and sing along to or tap your foot to. but.... Thats because there songs a simple but good. AC/DC isnt all that great of musicians they've won people over simplicity and catchyness
back when they just started out however, they were one of the first to play that music at that level of intensity and rawness. even though it's catchy, it very entertaining to listen to, and they were decent musicians, just not as good as some people make them out to be. |
My bad, lol
Nah that's alright. But you gotta admit Malcolm is also a bloody good guitarist. He even played lead in the early days (before their first album). Although I think he played lead in Can I sit next to you girl. Not entirely sure about that. |
Malcom is quite the guitarist. it would be weird now though if he started playing lead. i dont think he has the stage persona
|
Craszy fast solos. Catchy riffs. kikazz band. Malcom was better, but he drank too much so he gave the lead part to Angus.
Also AC/DC is an English term for bisexual. didnt know that till recently. |

Yeah, Angus has the charismatic performer side to go with his guitar skills. Malcolm has come up with many of their well known riffs and has been underated as a guitarist but Angus's guitar playing has always come so naturally to him and his timing and technique in his solo work especially early on is fantastic, he has the persona that makes you sit, watch and marvel at the way he attacks his guitar. |
you are a dumbass its ac/dc as in ac charge and dc charge
duh duh duh duh duh duh its not anti christ devil child or bisexual or hotel motel kinda thing
It does mean bisexual. But that's not what they intended. When they actually found that out they actually considered changing their name. Good thing they didnt AC/DC is a bloody awesome name for a band. |
yea people like to be stupid
|
he's right, it can mean bisexual and the press said the letters stood for Ant-Christ Devil Child...
but i think they intended it for the AC/DC charges something current/direct current...i think it is? |
