impressive. :thumb: , and frail, when they released the KIMB remaster did they take the original one of the shelves as soon as the remaster came out?
Im pretty sure it was taken off the shelves a while before the remaster shipped |
i just discovered megadeath, just bought rust in peace, in rocks
|
Im pretty sure it was taken off the shelves a while before the remaster shipped
yes, i havent seen a "new" copy of that in years...but used cd's of it of course are still in circulation at local cd shops. PS: plus the album cover looks a million times better, but the only tee shirt ive seen of KIMB still has the origianl cover on it. |
Well..I sorta prefer the new cover of KIMB. And as for it being at local shops I would buy the old one, but I do appreciate a bit better quality on the remaster. Hah, I don't know how it would end up at a used shop, unless you were desperate need of money, who would sell it?
|
Ya, apparently the record company ****ed up the cover of KIMB back in '85, so the cover you see now from the remastered KIMB is how it was suppose to look like. BTW, I still cant believe Mustaine and Ellefson are feuding in court considering they were pretty much best friends
|
Curently the only MegaDeth album i own is Rust In Peace, it's amazing!!
|
I own Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, and Killing is My Business. They ROCK!!!
Is Youthanasia any good? |
i just discovered megadeath, just bought rust in peace, in rocks
It's MEGADETH you idiot |
I own Rust in Peace, Peace Sells, and Killing is My Business. They ROCK!!!
Is Youthanasia any good?
yes it is a very good album, but it sounds very different from the 3 you currently have. its not as thrashy if it even is thrashy at all, IMO I'd go with Countdown to Extinction first, but you cant really go wrong with Youthanasia. |
Today I got Countdown to Extintion, and man, am I disappionted. I mean really, really, really upset. I own RIP and Peace Sells, and was worrying about being let down. I don't mind if it's not as thrashy, butit's really uninspiring. Any help, thanx
|
Id give it more time, sure its not a thrash metal cd at all...but how can you not like songs like "forclosure of a dream" "architecure of agression" "skin o' my teeth" "ashes in your mouth" etc... i mean really. a metal cd dosnet have to thrash to be heavy, Countdown was one of their best offerings they ever put out and has many fan favourites that are in heavy concert setlist rotation. dont judge it so hard and just listen to the album again.
|
The new song Die Dead Enough is stuck in my head! **** I love that song anyone else heard it?
|
^^^
fuc*ing right i LOVE that!!! month and a half away :):):) |
I like Skin O' My Teeth, Architecture of Aggression, ect. But it's too much verse, chorus, verse, chorus, ect. I wish it was more complex at times. I think Mustaine was effected by the Black album.
|
how good is the intro to die dead enough?? - signature poland leads, gota love it!
the whole songs pretty good actually, cant wait till the album comes out |
*Hasn't read the first 6 pages*
So who has got any of the remasters? I haven't but I have heard to definitely not give up your old ones, because they are that different. |

I think Mustaine along with every non-grunge type of band was affected on what to do with their style of music during the early 90's. |

motley crue and metallica to name a couple, it was all because of nevermind and the grunge explosion |

yes thats true it says that in the remaster bookelt |
Whoever said the thing about don't give up the originals. They aren't that different, it sounds different obviously because it's remastered but theres nothing different.
|
*bump* I wonder if this thing's ever going to be officialed?
|
i just wanna make a comment. Megadeth<Metallica
Dave Mustaine is AWESOME, yes i know. But he sucks at singing. I also dont really like their songs. |

Dave Mustaine is AWESOME, yes i know. But he sucks at singing. I also dont really like their songs.
First of all, they are two of my favourite bands but this is not a Megadeth vs. Metallica thread. Nore is it allowed because it doesnt settle anything at all. You dont really like their songs but you think he's awesome  |

Dave Mustaine is AWESOME, yes i know. But he sucks at singing. I also dont really like their songs.
Sounds like you don't like him at all. :p But yeah, sometime between SFSG..SW and Rust In Peace, his voice went to hell. But then again, so did James Hetfeild's... |

Dave Mustaine is AWESOME, yes i know. But he sucks at singing. I also dont really like their songs.
If u dont really like Megadeth's songs then u havent heard enough of them! :thumb: And to say that dave mustaine "sucks" at singing is unfair. U obviously are a metallica fan (like most of us, metallica are a awsome band), and although dave's voice isnt as polished as james' he doesnt suck, infact i recon his singing lines are better than james' - better melodys etc (he doesnt suck tho, his voice just gets a little getting used to.......... i think the reason people dont like Dave's voice is cos they hear an intro to a megadeth song and expect the singing to sound just like James Hetfield......) |
They'll never come to India.......<sob>
You from India?Where from? Im from Pune! |
Whoever asked about the new album solos, yes. The solo in Kick the Chair is awesome. As for the line-up, I'm not sure. Oh and what do you guys think I have enough money for either the Rude Awakening DVD or the Behind the Music. What do you guys think I should buy?
do yourself a huge favour dude and buy the rude awakening dvd. it will blow you away, even if your aren't a fan. but why wouldn't you be hey???!! |
Today I got Countdown to Extintion, and man, am I disappionted. I mean really, really, really upset. I own RIP and Peace Sells, and was worrying about being let down. I don't mind if it's not as thrashy, butit's really uninspiring. Any help, thanx
give it some time dude, when i bought it on release, i was a bit cut up coz RIP was my fave album of all time but trust me, it is a cracker. 'this was my life', 'ashes in your mouth', 'captive honor' all still cut the mustard with me. its true what the others have said about nineties music and all, and they did spend considerable time making it 'radio friendly' but stick with it. |
