speaking of volume three, i dont know if anyone has mentioned this, but the only thing i found dissapointing about the album, was the ending. i excpected some huge, climatic emotion filled song like scissors or iowa, danger keep away was kinda like, um yes, its ok, but its not the way to end a slipknot album... none the less, the album was kick *** in just about every way

I feel compelled to set the record straight. Slipknot fans are NOT goths. SAying goths are idiots is completely ridiculous and both stereotyping and ignorant the exact same way saying Slipknot have no talent is. i jus saw slipknot at ozzfest and they rocked so hardcore they one of my favorite bands and i wus up front it wus amazing

hmm i saw slipknot too, and it was amazing. im not a huge fan, but they put on a great show. they were loud too, last years ozzfest seemed a little quieter. slipknot rocked the house though.

Yeah I just saw Slipknot like this past Saturday. I found it dissapointing, I honestly feel that, overall, their "hype" does not match the quality of their music. Yall know where I'm coming from? Just so many people worship Slipknot, and are all up on the "maggot" stuff, and the scene, the show, not so much the musical aspect. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Im not really trying to bash them, just saying that their hype leaves them with big shoes to fill, and I think they come up short. I was a fan early on, but all the posers (there are a **** load of them) and bull**** that came along with Slipknot, steered me away from them; I dont really feel like I'm missing out though.

Idiot fans arent gonna steer me away from a band I like.The band would have to do it themselves.With the release of Vol.3,I like them even more.I think a recycled Iowa or s/t would have steered me away.Im glad they tried something new because listening to this album felt like the first time listening to Slipknot again.Vol.3>their old stuff.

I really wouldnt consider them original. Plenty of bands have DJ/Sampler guys, and rednecks have been hitting trash cans in drunken rage since 1915.

i loved how vol. 3 had some solos, but i was quite pissed at the fact that they didnt do any of those live on ozzfest. i was hoping to see mick and jim rip it up, but i got nothing. i had gained a new respect after i heard the welcome and p.o.t.m. solos, but i soon lost it after ozzfest. and i also didnt like the fact that when i was at ozzfest i saw 12 year old kids dressed up in jump suits and masks in the crowd. it aint right.

And here's something to point out to u. If anyone has the S/T digipak (I do) on the inside of the first flap it says "These are Subliminal Verses". I found that kinda of weird, I mean they put that on the S/T and 5 years later the 3rd album is called Vol. 3 *(The Subliminal Verses)*. Just some kool thing I noticed.

Anybody else notice that alot of people (and myself) like the songs Diluted and Everything Ends, but they never became a single or had a video or even played at a concert rarely. I think that sucks. Diluted and Everything Ends are 2 great songs by Slipknot.

Absolutely not.They tried new things on this album.Just doing what musicians do.Had they stuck to the same old formula,that would have been selling out because "thats what everyone wants to hear".Slipknot proved they are artists with this album.They didnt paint the same potrait again.This was a ballsy record.For a band like Slipknot to pull acoustic songs in their cd,that took balls to go that direction.So no,definently not sell outs.

I agree with what you guys are saying, these little kids, dont know **** about music, the band, the meanings behind the songs or anything else, they just like the band because its loud and corey says f*ck alot (earlier 2 albums). now with volume three the little f*ggot pussies are whining because theres no swearing and whatnot. the people that claim to be "hardcore maggots" (often written: "hradcare magat!!111") are almost 100% of the time the d*ck heads that have no god **** brain and dont know **** about music, or even the music they listen to. they give a bad name to all slipknot fans and thats what we're all stero typed as.
