I start up guitar lessons again tomorrow, this time i'm actually going to practice the stuff my teacher tells me to learn.

_Tyler 06-09-2005 07:49 PM

ah screw it, that would require me to get AIM. I'll just leave my precious postcount behind.

BuddyBigsby 06-09-2005 07:50 PM

Yeah, I don't have AIM either.

Poop
by Wilson Schumacher

Wilson was fascinated by the piles of animal manure that naturally occur on a farm with as many animals as Hidden Villa.

My GIA interview for my zine

Conner talks Lucas, the drummer from Go It Alone

state your name and what you do in Go It Alone.
Luke-unyielding anxiety

How about you start by telling us who does what in the band right
now?
Mark-problematic vans, Scotty-sanding and planing, Eric-sleeveless
progressive rock t-shirts, brad-suspiciously pristine sneakers.

How did Go It Alone all become a band?
We did the demo in the spring of 2002 with plans to find members and make it a real band after mark had finished a summer of touring with his and Norms old band the Attack. Upon returning from tour it came to light that Mark had run into a obscene inheritance and used it, understandably, to travel the other side of the globe. When he got back we chatted and decided to get GIA going as a real band. It started out kinda slow but withing 6 months we did the EP and toured both coasts.

About a year ago you got in a very bad acciedent, tell us how the recovery
process went.

It sucked more than you can imagine. It will never be over. My life is
significantly worse. Awesome.

You guys have now finished recording your new LP, how did that all go, where
did you record it?
We recorded it at castle ultimate in Oakland, and I'm really quite
proud of it. We nit picked like crazy and spent large amounts of time
on the most asinine of details, but I think it shows. It's probably
the best thing I've ever produced.

What do you love most about being in a Hardcore band?

shows. Touring.

How did the signing to Rivialry come about?
Kyle is one of my best friends and he started a label. When he first
asked me I said "no dice" then he asked a couple more time and
eventually I said "cool".
What do you do when you're not taking care of band duties?
That's very literally all I do. Occasionally I go to the gym or pool.

The usual question: Favourite Bands of all time?
Battery
Judge
Down
Mainstrike

What's next for GIA, Europe?
Yup, in October. If you're in Europe check it out.

Thanks for this, any finial words?
legitimatebros.com, We are on tour with Blue Monday and Alegience this summer.

thankyou.

Yeah, I rawflz.

40 oz 2 freedom 06-09-2005 10:30 PM

KLU was awesome tonight, Casey Jones and Embrace Today weren't that awesome. Felt a little sorry for ET because they had zerio crowd support.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:32 PM

Hahaha. Texas isn't too hot on being edge.

40 oz 2 freedom 06-09-2005 10:36 PM

Actually there's a ton of edge kids in SA, just not a ton of ET fans.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:37 PM

Embrace Today were good before this new cd.

Same here. MINUS KLU. I HATE YOU.

Actually, I was kidding with Reiner about CJ. They were pretty good and real funny. ET were good aside from the new songs, but no one was there for them.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:39 PM

I would have been and I sold out.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:41 PM

Embrace Today are seriously like a modern day Earth Crisis. And like someone on B9 said, it makes it even better that the majority of people hate them.

Join them.

BuddyBigsby 06-09-2005 10:55 PM

I hate ETs lyrics and ethics. However, I love their performance and one song.

CONNER_NWHC 06-09-2005 10:56 PM

I don't really like any of the bands on that tour, KLU are good I guess.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:57 PM

If you don't like Kids Like Us then...that sucks for you I guess.

40 oz 2 freedom 06-09-2005 10:58 PM
Join them.
Nah, I just can't get into ET.

LOLOLOL

CONNER_NWHC 06-09-2005 10:58 PM

F'uck you im edge is a good song by ET.

shane italian 06-09-2005 10:59 PM

Klu A'sshole Attack!

shane italian 06-09-2005 11:00 PM

ET has better songs. Without You, The War Between, Pissed Off... I think they're a pretty good band.
