Okay, now we need a drummer, a bassist and a vocalist :p
I know Ollie sings and you can get one of those drum programs on your computer. I'd help out if I had any good recording equipment and was better at guitar.

crag 05-24-2006 03:54 PM

Surely there must be someone here who plays drums.

Nepenthe 05-24-2006 03:56 PM

I do.

Deth 05-24-2006 04:07 PM

When are we recording this? I'm getting an 8 track recorder in less than 2 weeks.

What song are we doing? I missed the conversation.

I'm assuming we'll record when we gather up enough people to make a cover, as for the song it's one from BNW:)

ashman 05-24-2006 05:02 PM

How could you forget me?!?!?!

Can I pwease play Daves lines? :p

Also, I suggest we all learn from the same tab, since there are so many variations.

We need 3 guitarists do we not?

that is very much true

me gets Adrians parts:p

ashman 05-24-2006 05:25 PM

So the last poor sap gets Janick :p

You on MSN crag?

the_uber_penguin 05-24-2006 06:28 PM

My voice isn't so different from Di'annios, so I'd sing. Unless it's Blood Brothers, in which case you have Jannick right here.

EDIT: Thinking about it, in some ways it's not "some poor sap" who gets Jannick's part as they generally are still fun. The main difference is that it would be easier to do justice to his solo's.

Still...Jannick Gers: overrated by his fans, underrated by his detractors.

Deth 05-24-2006 06:59 PM

So, song suggestions. I vote for Ghost of Navigator or Thin Line.

innocent criminal 05-24-2006 11:16 PM

WTF? Someone actually wants to play Janick? This thread has been full of surprises lately

Lord Abortion 05-25-2006 02:10 AM

Hey thread.

Beast over Hammersmith is such a damn good live album.
Bruce's introductions to songs are quite strange, though.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2006 03:18 AM

Beast Over Hammersmith is great. Easily the best live version of Hallowed Be Thy Name I've heard.

ashman 05-25-2006 03:19 AM

Yeah...I think that's because no one knew it back then :p

 the LAD version is so much better.

In other news Crag's friends uncle has let him borrow his video of Maiden England, although i have my suspicions that its pirated, you can barely hear Dave:(
Yeah...I think that's because no one knew it back then :p
What i meant was that im so used to hearing every one screaming thei intro. Where as on this one, no one knows it at all.

To crag: Did you get to see still life live ???????!!!!!!!

Not yet, so far i've got as far as Heaven Can Wait.

EDIT : I've watched the whole thing now, Still Life didn't get played:confused:

EDIT 2: I just looked at a set list for the concert, it seems my video skips TETMD, The Prisoner, Still Life and DWYBO:angry:

rik 05-25-2006 06:39 AM

I am an able bass player if i'm needed. Although the only recording program I have is the crappy one that comes with windows.

/Votes we cover POTO.

innocent criminal 05-25-2006 06:44 AM
