I win.

If Jim pruned this thread, Jess would lose half of her postcount.
It's when a mod deletes the thread, thus all post dissapear, thus all rep and post count you got from that thread dissapears.

Brew 01-16-2005 11:21 AM

Most of my rep came from the pit campaign of ''Get brum stars'' and from R&M.
how come you never post in punk? The Filaments are amazing, i've seen them once before
People are really preachy in the punk section, i'm most active in the bass forum. There are too many **** music snobs in the punk bit for my liking.

There's people who are bigger rep whores than I am (not you though)

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:06 PM

I will guard the forums tonight as Berethor from The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. he is the main character, and kicks total arse with his sword. If you use some points, he can attack twice in the same round, and do two three or five move combos in one turn. He is so awesome.

Double Attack!
Ecthelion Wrath!
Gondor Rage!

Such massive damage to enemies, and in arse-kicking LoTR swordfighting style!

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 06:09 PM

Guess what mike?

Battle for middle earth > Third age

Just did the inevitable/stupid thing of all 3 extended DVD's back to back round a friends house, where we had a mass screening. So my eyes dont function fully

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:16 PM

Heheh. That's funny.

Both are good games, IMO. Dad just got BfME yesterday, so the love affair hasn't started yet.

You're actually on right now? Cool.

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 06:18 PM

Yup. Took a lot of sugar today to get me through, and it still hasnt worn off.

Play BFME a lot, then we should play online at some point. nothing better than commanding Nazgul or using Gandolf as a one man army

Lets nerd this thread up more

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:23 PM

Nerd is good.

What instrument do you play, again? We can Music Nerd.

Or we can LoTR nerd. For New Year's, a friend of mine had a couple of us over. First, Travis and I jammed on guitar. Then we all sat down and drank lots of Mountain Dew and watched Return of the King (Extended Edition). We watched it "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" style, where we had a running commentary the whole time. It was pretty hilarious. Like when Smeagol was choking Deagol: "You have to hold him there for a good ten seconds after he stops thrashing to make sure he's really dead", or the commentary of "Why do all of Gandalf's big, powerful friends and allies go nuts? Sauruman, Denethor, even Theodin... but that was Grima's fault, so he's excused..."

It was loads of fun

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 06:26 PM

I tend to do that with movies the second time of seeing them.

1st time - Serious, take story in
2nd time - make gags, but shut up for cool bits
3rd time - Convince everyone in the cinema that the entire population of Rohan is Irish.

LOTR needs mocking at times. Plus you can have the random 'spot the multiple extras apperances' competitions

My instrument of choice btw is guitar, and I really should pick it up again soon, 2 days without a good playing session. And i was getting good as well...

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:30 PM

You're funnier than I am.

I love playing guitar. I've been on a Yes kick recently, so I've been learning some of the basic "Yes" riffs in order to improve my m4d skillz. (has no m4d skillz)

How do you do an AIM jam? (Doesn't even have AIM anyway)

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 06:34 PM

Im only touching the cliched stuff (metallica solos, easy riff songs at the moment) since i've learned a lot of weird stuff beforehand, and havent really attacked any major skill work outs that most of the stuff im learning now does.........ok, even i had to read that twice for it to make sense.

I never touch AIM anymore. I used it for a while, and I just dont like using it to chat. i mainly use game chat rooms for the limited talking I need. But an AIM jam probably works in a similar style to a mic conversation on msn, I guess. I know people say it can be easy as long as you can hook up your instrument somehow

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:45 PM

Hey, if you want, I tabbed out the acoustic guitar for "The Real Folk Blues" and posted it on MX, or at least my approximation of it (no chord charts are provided in the book). Another way to play the F#m7 is to do:

(standard tuning)
F#m7: 1 3 3 1 1 0

while thumbing the E-string one. It's kinda tough. You could occupy your time figuring that one out. It's actually kinda fun.

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 06:48 PM

I think ill give that a look over, then head off to bed.

My anime obsession this week has been mainly trying to get my head around Excel Saga. I thought Ed was random

Spectrum 01-16-2005 06:55 PM

Oh. My. God. That is one of the most crazy and insane and yet stupidly hilarious shows I have ever seen. I love it for no reason other than it's just plain frickin' funny.

God, if you thought Ed was random, you ain't seen nothin' yet. Have you watched FLCL yet? I would watch it before Excel Saga. Same guys, only six episodes and an almost discerable plot, at least more than Excel Saga.

If you're off to bed, then good night. It was fun actually getting to talk with you for once at the same time and place and everything! WOO!

/easily excited

FUUUNNN!!!!! FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN-FUN!!!!! FUN-FUN!!!!!! Ooh, something new?!

/goes away in an Ed-like craze

Adam Jones is GOD 01-16-2005 07:00 PM

Me and my friend had a had enough time tracking down the Excel Saga DVDs, god knows if we can find the other ones or not. England isnt too good for its old Japanese imports. Like there are probably 0 copies of the Black mages 2 album in the country at all right now.
(although Cowboy Beebop DVD 1 and 2 ae released this month, and I havent seen them since CNX was around on our TV schedules)

And pedro may just be my new favourite character now. Him, or that random universe thing that flys around resetting time.

Right, its 1 in the morning, definitely time for sleep. Cool chatting to ya properly Mike

Spectrum 01-16-2005 07:04 PM

Good night, mate.

/continues guarding thread as Berethor... or Jon Anderson of Yes with his awesome singing voice and being really old. Take your pick.

Spectrum 01-16-2005 08:58 PM

While I was guarding the Camp of the Slumbering Brits from evil and battling Uruk-mods and Moria-mods, I stumbled across a startling revelation - my post count is past 1,350. That means I have to divulge my Cabbage Head moniker origins. Prepare for a shocker -

Tomorrow on "The Official MX UK Thread!"

/annoying sound-off music

/continues battling t3h 3vil m0dz with ub3r sw0rd skillz
