But there were like 500,000 people there, so suck on that, GWB.
How did that turn out? I had a hippie friend go with the Green Party.

Impossible. You'd need to be twice as arrogant as tangy zizzle with four times the word processing skills.
So I'm gonna apply for a job at pitchforkmedia. Wish me luck.
What spot are you applying for? Just a writer? I'm curious to see if you writing carries the pompous aura they're looking for.

YDload 09-25-2005 10:14 PM
Haha, yeah I'm applying as a writer. I have to decide upon three of my more recent reviews and I'm not sure what exactly they're looking for. I don't think they'll give me a second look, but it'd be interesting at least to get some professional feedback. Plus, I'd be able to wave my rejection letter triumphantly in the face of everyone who had the gall to believe in me.
If you've seen the way Pitchfork rejects albums, I wouldn't be too happy with receiving that letter. On the other hand, it will probably be too long and dense for you to understand anyway.

It was really wonderful. For the most part. Too many people talked too much about their other issues, when the whole point was supposed to be that a bunch of people who may disagree on a lot of things can all come together to agree on the immorality of the war and the policies and culture that allowed it to happen. The people who stuck to the topic were amazing and inspiring.

I really want to hear the new Pilotdrift.

JonM 09-26-2005 09:19 AM

Four of the nine tracks are on the first record, though. It's on iTunes, and I'm thinking of just buying the other five tracks.

Someone in my townhouse broke one of my Sega Saturn controllers.

I should go on a killing rampage.

Wow, one still exists.

Now it doesn't.

The Grand Safari of 1886 Chronicles

During my trek Dr. Jenkins and I stumbled on a simulation motion picture gaming device known as a Sega Saturn. We could only speculate that the electronic device came from the Seganians of Saturn. When Dr. Jenkins and I returned to Metropolitan University, we tried to establish contact with the Seganians using high powered light rays and radio transmissions.

All hail the ole University,
Glory, Glory, Glory.

Wanker 09-26-2005 12:49 PM

Did they reply to your light rays and such? Maybe they can give me a free controller.

morrissey 09-26-2005 12:49 PM

I can't believe you just wrote that.

Dear Mr. Wanker,

Dr. Jenkins and I have tried to establish a dialect that the Seganians can fully understand, unfortunately our efforts have come short as of this instant. However we shall make contact with the beings.

Yours truly,

Dr. Norris P. Calente

I just want my controller back *sigh*

That is a disgrace. Nacho is an international mx hero, and he gets banned for something like that? Where is the respect these days? The ree-pheect? Eh, where is it? Because I don't see it.

morrissey 09-26-2005 01:10 PM

Nah I think he got banned for some "inappropriate" use of the naughty smiley.

Sega controller?

Pfft, you're living in the past.

Haha, your name is Norris.

morrissey 09-26-2005 05:32 PM

Look on the brightside, at least it isn't Kip.
Look on the brightside, at least it isn't Kip.
Or Angus.

That's what my Dad wanted to name me :(

Zmev 09-26-2005 05:37 PM

My parents were going to name me Burt.

No joke.

morrissey 09-26-2005 05:37 PM

I think your dad has something for rockstar names (even though I'm presuming you were born before Oasis hit the big time, lest you be 11).

Happymeal 09-26-2005 05:48 PM

This morning my friend was half asleep on the bench while these two girls, who are acquaintances of mine, were semi-wrestling and doing some lesbian innuendo nearby. They both tripped, sending one of girls' uncapped bottle of water flying to my friend's face. What a sight.

Electrocution 09-26-2005 05:48 PM

My parents couldn't decide on a middle name for me so they gave me two.

The NPC 09-26-2005 05:53 PM
Haha, your name is Norris.
Actually it's Joe. I needed a name that started with an "n".
