My Thursday nights used to be sweet.
My Name is Earl, The Office and then Scrubs.
Skipped 30 Rock to get Coldstone and then do the college/bar thing.
What a time.
i didn't think you could make the office unfunny but apparently you can.
Not difficult at all if it's the American version.

cobert 10-15-2007 09:44 PM

I'm downloading some 400 Years to bump tomorrow, is anyone else into them?

Matt? 10-16-2007 12:21 PM

they rule

SGlove 10-16-2007 02:09 PM

Who's going to the Thursday/Circle Takes the Square shows?

cobert 10-16-2007 02:26 PM

They're not coming near me.

cbmartinez 10-16-2007 02:30 PM

I'm seeing the Ctts/Transistorx2/Problems tour they are finishing up right now.

team_racket 10-16-2007 02:31 PM

last time thursday came here, they played massive venues supporting mcr. id love to see ctts live though.

cbmartinez 10-16-2007 02:33 PM

They were pretty mediocre when I saw them but I saw them at a big venue. I'm guessing they'll be a lot better in this small venue I'm seeing them at.

srt-4 10-17-2007 11:29 AM

new a wilhelm scream is so good.

cobert 10-17-2007 12:47 PM

Didn't hear it yet, but I liked Ruiner alot, and also enjoyed to a lesser extent Mute Print. People in pop-punk are fapping over it at the moment.

EDIT: 400 years rulz d00d

its definitely more aggressive. and the new bassist is amazing. best bass i have heard in this genre, that i can remember. the drummer has improved too. song structures are more complex. basically, the whole band is now at the level the guitars have been at. the only downside is that it lacks a little of the catchiness of ruiner and mute print. overall, i think its one of the best records of the year.

cbmartinez 10-18-2007 12:46 AM

Oh my god, just saw Umphrey's, it was off the hook!

santi3hg 10-18-2007 11:53 AM

cobert 10-22-2007 12:44 PM
Describe in detail.
They're a great revival of the Embrace / Rites of Spring sound, with airy vocals and fairly basic instumentation. Not much else to say.

http://www.myspace.com/endofayear

Dig it.

AIRIC 10-22-2007 04:03 PM

They're really good and from really close to me. I'm going to have to go see them on November third with Shook Ones.

Could someone please up whatever they have

cobert 10-22-2007 06:11 PM

Sure thing. I'm upping Sincerely right now.

cobert 10-22-2007 06:31 PM

http://www.sendspace.com/file/lr15o3

BAM.

santi3hg 10-22-2007 07:21 PM

I'm glad your life wasn't counting on that one either Cob.

cobert 10-22-2007 07:23 PM

Yeah, that was an epic fayle earlier. Probably because I just woke up off of my couch like 30 seconds before I tried to IM somebody.

pixiesfanyo 10-22-2007 07:59 PM

new Coheed is one of the worst records i've heard in a long time.

cobert 10-22-2007 08:08 PM

I haven't heard anything from it, I stopped caring about them a long time ago. Il go listen to a jam off of their myspace right now.

cobert 10-22-2007 08:12 PM

Listened to the first 30 seconds or so of each track. Pretty bad. Only upside was the siqq riffz to begin track 2, exactly like their last album.

AIRIC 10-22-2007 08:43 PM

Yeah really liking this band.

cbmartinez 10-22-2007 10:35 PM

I can't believe you guys missed all the hype around this band like 6 months ago.

cbmartinez 10-22-2007 10:36 PM

cue Dfelon writing a review for their review on sputnik, giving it a 5, featuring his review, making them the listening party, and everyone on sputnik following suit and jocking them

pixiesfanyo 10-22-2007 11:26 PM

isn't that the definition of hype? dfelon liking it?

santi3hg 10-23-2007 12:42 AM

I could of sworn it was upped a couple times too in some thread made about them.

Matt? 10-23-2007 05:46 AM

are we talking about real hype or mx hype...

whiteminority 10-23-2007 05:48 AM

mx hype matt.
