Dr. Jake Destructo 03-05-2006 12:13 AM

That, aside from a few other songs were the only thing I've heard by Cypress Hill, so listening to their S/T was kind of shocking. I was expecting more, I guess. It's still okay, but just not what I expected.

gmoneyguy 03-05-2006 12:18 AM

if you want to get into some rap you should try some 36 mafia.

Moses 03-05-2006 12:34 AM

I can't decide between these two which is the best rap album of all time...

Ready To Die- Notorious B.I.G.
Illmatic- Nas

TojesDolan 03-05-2006 12:49 AM

Neither. Public enemy's "fear of a black planet" owns them all, because I've listened to it and it's amazing.

On a related note, Wu tang clan is really interesting.

Moses 03-05-2006 12:57 AM

Have you heard the mentioned albums though? FoaBP is good but I like Ready To Die way more.
If i had dinner with Matt Heafy i'd rip his Maiden t-shirt of and shoot him in the head.

Because he doesn't deserve to wear Maidens colors.
Matt heafy was a bit of a pompous twat, he got on my nerves.
Corey is a dead nice guy though.
And he was just wearing a black t-shirt.

Mr. Black 03-05-2006 04:09 AM
I think if I ever engaged in international verbal warfare, Japan would be the first to retreat. All I'd have to do is drop the F-bomb on Hiroshima and they'll be down for the count.
Going to explain that at all?

Mazeppa 03-05-2006 06:35 AM

Ah this morning I finished up watching Apocalypse Now, what a great film. Scheduled for this afternoon, coursework :( Oh well. At least I can try and get it done at last.
but you dont like sabaton, do you?
I do.

Best new band I've heard in a while.
(rather that old band I have only just discovered, if you follow me)
They fit along with Gorerotted and Send more paramedics in that catagory)

Bartender 03-05-2006 07:36 AM

Apparently I'm on strike on Tuesday.

Hoorah for industrial action.

Apocalyptic Raids 03-05-2006 07:37 AM

I need to check out Send More Paramedics.

Lord Abortion 03-05-2006 07:40 AM
I need to check out Send More Paramedics.
That you do.
Great band, try the songs Burning the body, the hordes and zombie crew.

NP-Children of Bodom-Touch like the angel of death. (awesome intro riff)

Apocalyptic Raids 03-05-2006 07:45 AM

Sweet, thanks.

Arucard 03-05-2006 07:52 AM

Yes definatly check out Zombie Crew. Catchy as hell.

Also, how good is The Hell Song by Sum 41?

/initiate pop-punk love

How so? I thought you spent your time studying (philosophy?) or something along those lines.

NP:Franz Liszt - Danse macabre

The Hell Song? it's bearable, i guess. the only Sum 41 i really like is All Killer No Filler, although Does This Look Infected? wasn't bad. then their new stuff (the couple of songs i've heard) sounded pretty crap IMO.
NP-Edguy-Trinidad
cheesiness to the max?

Arucard 03-05-2006 08:18 AM

What? Man you seriously like their crap album. Chuck is really good, the guitar work is insane compared to All Killer.

Shattered_Future 03-05-2006 08:25 AM

I personally liked Thanks For Nothing the most...even though the same guitar part is pretty much repeated throughout the whole song, it's damn catchy.

Wooot, black metal project is almost done. Form of...giant unholy church!

Yeah, but the AUT (Association of University Teachers) has voted to strike, and the NUS is recommending a sympathy action on the part of the students.

Jev 03-05-2006 09:00 AM

Man. Keeping my lent promise is pretty hard.

I nearly got drunk last night. But then I ran out of money. £3 a pint.

Stormrider 03-05-2006 09:51 AM

I need you guys help for a science project. Does the sun affect how a banana ripens ? I mean, If i take 2 green bananas, put one in a well lit room in which the sun light can come in, and the other one in a dark room with no sun light. Will the one with access to sunlight turn yellow/ripen first ?

I've always thought that the sun does affect it, but I have a doubt now.

Jev 03-05-2006 09:54 AM

I would've thought it does. I always thought the sunlight causes them to turn yellow.

Stormrider 03-05-2006 09:58 AM

Same here. But now I just read somewhere that they ripen naturally...does this mean if they're placed in a dark or well lit room they'll turn yellow at the same time ?

Bartender 03-05-2006 10:03 AM

Well you'd probably have to find out what the author means by 'ripen naturally'. Sunlight is natural, so you could assume that she means it to be a part of the natural process as much as you could assume she does not.

Jev 03-05-2006 10:05 AM

According to the internet, they ripen after being harvested and should be left at room temperature to ripen. So I guess sunlight doesn't affect it.
