San Diego's weather right now is perfect. I don't have a thermometer, but I'd say it's about 75 degrees and pretty clear sky.

RCA 07-26-2005 05:31 PM

Not that I use those words anyways. :)

I hope nothing serious got hurt. :(

Because he got hit in the head with a baseball. I know he could be seriously injured, but it still sounds funny.

I havn't seen it, I'm sure it will be on the news tonight. But reading that a guy got a line drive to the head made me chuckle. Sorry if I offended you.

Riva 07-26-2005 06:36 PM

My god. I have created a monster. I think if I had restricted my vanity, I could have saved the forum a lot of personalised threads...

I'm not sure whether it is a good or bad thing, though...

---------------------------------------------------

So! Guess who worked 11.5 hours yesterday? Yep, moi. For a whopping A$200, I went to the Great Barrier Reef, snorkelled, made friends with this awesome couple from Yorkshire, became the idol of this little boy called Harry from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, taught Yumi and Shun basic Aussie phrases (No worries, etc), and even saw a whale and a pod of dolphins up close. Plus, I won a free beer, thanks to my fanboyism of Pink Floyd.

So, Caroline and John are from North Yorkshire, and area about 20 or so. Great people. Friendlier than the English bastards on MX, no doubt. :p I started talking to them when Yumi (one of my students) was scuba diving. We played Top Trumps with Harry, a 5 year old extrovert from Newcastle. It was brilliant.

The reason I won the beer is that one of the crew members of the ship we took to the reef played guitar and sang in addition to securing the boat. He was really talented, which suprised me. Anyways, he said, "time for some trivia. Whoever can tell me who wrote this song, not recorded, but wrote, gets a free drink". And then he played the opening chords of Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2). Someone shouted out Pink Floyd, but he shook his head and said "Who wrote it?". Meanwhile, I stood up and started shouting Roger Waters. But I was lost in a sea of "David Gilmour!". Finally I started waving my arms and shouting "Roger Waters!" And I won.

---------------------------------------------------

Well, my mother finally returned from Europe. I picked her up from the airport at 4am. Fun! She had a great time, and took over 300 pictures. I also scored in the gift compartment. I got:

Designer clothes from Paris and Venice.
Two albums from the Virgin Superstore in London (Blue Oyster Cult - Super Hits, and Rolling Stones - Tattoo You)
An official Renault F1 shirt from the showroom on the Champes De Elyse (sp?)
An official Ferrari Racing T-shirt from the original factory in Rome.
A Paris University sweatshirt.
And! A new hunting knife from a castle in Germany. Mum tried to get something related to Hellmuth, but was told she was in the wrong part of Germany. So she got me this dagger instead. I'll upload a pic soon.

And that is my updated life.

RCA 07-26-2005 06:39 PM

Riva's day > mine

Your job is so cool.

Kurtz 07-26-2005 06:41 PM

So you get paid to show tourists around and socialize?

Sweet.

My 3 points against it being plexi

1. It is too discreet to be plexi. Plexi would have changed all the banners to pr0n or something.

2. Plexi always brags about it and there has been no bragging or even a sign of Plexi.

3. Plexi has been missing from the internet for over a month now. Plexi was in large amounts of trouble before he went missing. He could either be dead or in prison right now.

Edit:Jason I live pretty close to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Alsom get on MSN :p

Lord Abortion 07-26-2005 06:42 PM

nice life Jason, I got banninated... morbid jokes are not that which the mods find remotely amusing, and myself, hrothgar/butcher and IAJP got ourselves banned, the thread got to three pages so I thought surely it must be OK if noone has closed it by this point... I was incorrect in this assumption

anyway, all action here... I fixed my connection, hopefully permanently
but msn is being a wanker so...

and we have "changes" to the swear filter that you can find plenty of related posts around, so I won't repeat them old boy :)

well there you go, that's what's up...

Why was plexi in so much trouble?

Riva 07-26-2005 06:45 PM

Yeah, I noticed those changes. Quite amusing, but like an American comedy, it will get old very fast.

Six Foot Revolver 07-26-2005 06:46 PM

I am not going to tell you on a public forum for everyone to read. Also, I am pretty sure that Plexi wouldn't want me to be telling anyone.
