the whole appendix on newspeak messed with my head in that book. it actually made me think i was crazy for a while.

today work was painfully slow. we actually sat down and read the paper for 2 hours, getting up about 8 times to serve someone, then sit back down.

and my family may very well become super dooper rich in the near future, which would really kick a'ss. i probably shouldn't go into details as to how this may be achieved, so i'll leave you guys in the dark about that. my fingers are crossed.

I'm totally tired and burnt out.

i got 17% in grade 9 french. up until then, we had just done word searches in french class, never learned a thing. then grade 9 came, and i had no interest in learning a new language that i had been told i knew for 8 years. i know basic basic keywords, and i can attempt to put a sentence together, but i really have no clue when it comes to french.

2nd languages suck

oh, i did find one thing out on my own, though. in french, "horse hair" is "cheveux chevaux".

oh, this will give you all an idea on how slow my work was today. one of the girls i worked with decided that it was slow enough that she could go vote. in the half an hour she was gone, not a single person came in the restaurant.
