i hate the way people are abandoning a tradition thousands of years old in pretty much every culture ever because of some sad bitter modernity

to me marriage is a declaration, public or not, that you are devoting your life to the one person you love most. sure a lot of marriages don't survive but that doesn't mean that marriage is a waste of time

except you make it very clear here that every girl you've had any contact with you don't care about, if that's the way you treat girls who show you affection good luck getting married, any girl with a shred of dignity wouldn't stay with a guy who bragged on an online forum about how he didn't care about her, so unltil you succesfully fake that you have a personality or a soul you should find some emotionally fragile pushover who's scared to leave you for fear of being alone (think allison janney in american beauty or shelley johnson from twin peaks) and lock her in your basement and never let her escape because if she ever meets a man who appreciates her and shows her genuine human love and affection she will be out of there so fast it will make your stupid swoop haircut spin.

No culture has had had this level of interaction and technology. It is so much easier to move on to the next new thing nowadays. People improve their ways of living much easier now.
