In Their Darkened Shrines has its moments, and I kind of like Cast Down The Heretic, but the rest is balls boring.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 01:28 PM

jason's bile analogy was one of the corniest jokes i've seen in a while

and damn it kiddies, i was hoping for depravity discussion and you just jumped straight to ****ing nile :(

Angmar 04-26-2008 01:31 PM

I think I need to check out that Depravity EP.

Tyler 04-26-2008 01:35 PM

It's pretty solid

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-26-2008 01:56 PM

ninjamonkey 04-26-2008 02:22 PM

Depravity is indeed great

So is Dead Congregation

DERSIEGDERKRIEGDERKAMPF 04-26-2008 03:03 PM

arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Purifying Consecrated Ground is by far the best death metal release since **** knows when. They manage to seamlessly combine the the doom and evil of Incantation and Autopsy on that one.

jrowa001 04-27-2008 08:36 AM

so is the new Coldworker worth downloading? ive never really listened to them but i know its produced by Swano

Ghoul Hustler 04-27-2008 10:54 AM

Does anyone know what Florida park Glen Benton was in when he saw bigfoot? I want to go

Deth 04-27-2008 11:02 AM

Dude, let's take a roadtrip. We can invite Illuvatar as well.

Ghoul Hustler 04-27-2008 11:05 AM

It's on

Baphomet - The Dead shall inherit
bolt thrower - realm of chaos
hypocrisy - penetralia
immolation - close to a world below
obituary - slowly we rot
morbid angel - gateways to annihilation

a regular death fest today

what did you listen to today

Deth 04-27-2008 01:33 PM

Judas Priest - Sad Wings of Destiny and Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell, both on vinyl. The elitery is off the charts tbh.

pate 04-27-2008 01:44 PM

Sad Wings FTW

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-27-2008 02:15 PM

depravity - silence of the centuries

rasputin 04-27-2008 06:01 PM

VomitStainedCretin 04-27-2008 08:04 PM

Greetings, saw Suffocation tonight, in Plymouth of all places, their set excelled to the extreme, though I did have to put up with some sh1tty deathcore support (Wigger the Budshed or something like that).

Oh, and my mates convinced the management to let us go back stage so we could do an interview with Frankie Mullins, who is actually a super-chilled out guy in person. So a most excellent night indeed!

Currently listening to Failures For Gods, not sure yet whether I prefer it or Here In After but very good. My mate has DoP, so I'll rip that at some point soon too.

RetiredAt21 04-27-2008 08:09 PM

Vomitory - Raped In Their Own Blood
Evil Incarnate - The Blackest Hymns Of God's Disgrace
Incantation - Onward To Golgotha
Morbid - December Moon

Eliminator 04-27-2008 08:28 PM

dead congregation EP ****in rules

Have you heard Close to a World Below or Unholy Cult?

VomitStainedCretin 04-27-2008 08:32 PM
Have you heard Close to a World Below or Unholy Cult?
No, I did try and acquire CTAWB on Ebay rrecently buut was outbid. I do want to hear them both definitely but for the moment I think I'll just process HIA, FFG and DOP. Plus I have quite a lot of music in my collection as it is that I need to listen to more.

FatalEnergy 04-27-2008 08:33 PM

Are they worth hearing?

Angmar 04-27-2008 08:34 PM
Are they worth hearing?
Are you talking about the Immolation albums? :amaze:

FatalEnergy 04-27-2008 08:36 PM

I only have Dawn of Possession and the demos.

I never heard about any of their other stuff bring worth checking out, so I was never really interested.

Angmar 04-27-2008 08:38 PM

Oh, well I think their later albums are way above DoP. They aren't old school sounding really but they're very unique while still being straight up death metal. The riffing style they use is really dark, I guess. I'd say check out Close to a World Below for sure.

FatalEnergy 04-27-2008 08:39 PM

Alright, I'll check it out.

purplefeet 04-27-2008 10:00 PM

My favorite album is Unholy Cult. So heavy.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with their newest album as well, Shadows in the Light. Although it's a little more catchy than some of their other releases, it's still mad technical. Probably one of the best DM out there, imo.
