victimofreality 10-24-2004 03:55 PM

What grade are you in? I took British lit when i was a sophomore.

shane italian 10-24-2004 03:55 PM

Sophmore. It's a senior class though.

victimofreality 10-24-2004 04:03 PM

I am reading Catcher In The Rye for senior english right now. Required readings books are getting more and more boring.

sketchyjoe 10-24-2004 04:05 PM

Catcher In The Rye is a shit book.

shane italian 10-24-2004 04:05 PM

Weird, Catcher In The Rye is Freshman/Sophmore reading in my school. My sister is reading it right now.

We just got done with Beowulf and Absolution By Murder, now we're on Tale Of Two Cities...which I am reading a second time.

DOLEMITE 10-24-2004 04:05 PM

listerine ice cream 10-24-2004 04:08 PM

Interesting, Beowulf was part of my summer reading this year. I cannot imagine how much I would have hated Catcher in The Rye when I was a Freshmen.

AdictAddict 10-24-2004 04:22 PM

i love a lot of clockwork punk, so i found it necessary to read that book, although i wasnt able to finish it like i said. I will read it again soon.

listerine ice cream 10-24-2004 04:22 PM

I can't believe you guys read!

Brain Toad 10-24-2004 04:24 PM

/me liked Catcher in the Rye :upset:

My school made me read 1984 11th grade year, it was so awesome. After that I decided to read more books like it, so I read A Clockwork Orange. I love it.

Then they made us read Native Son, that book was long and boring.

refuse_amen 10-24-2004 04:25 PM

reading is for clever people

sketchyjoe 10-24-2004 04:26 PM

I had to read Enduring Love. Never call a book terrible until you've read that.

listerine ice cream 10-24-2004 04:28 PM

Last year I had to read Of Mice and Men, it was retarded. The big guy was retarded and snapped this beehotches neck after he killed a cat or dog. Some comical elements in that book I suppose.

sketchyjoe 10-24-2004 04:29 PM

I like Of Mice And Men.

DOLEMITE 10-24-2004 04:34 PM

my favorite book was fear and loathing in las vegas

Brain Toad 10-24-2004 04:34 PM

I'm read Mostly Harmless at the moment, it's the 5th book of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. It's ok, but not as good as the other, at least not yet. Adams is known for sneaking a good book after a ****ty beginning.

sketchyjoe 10-24-2004 04:34 PM
i was supposed to read three charles dickens books for english. fuck off.
Our English teacher was recommending us some books and she said " I would reccomend some Charles Dickens but I've never managed to get to the end of one. They're just so boring."
