From what I gather, In my own debateable opinion, Lars wants to get more or a drum solo or even allow the drums be significant to their music. Which is kinda understandable seeing as how he isnt that good of a drummer and he barely gets any kind of a solo in the history of metallica. Try to understand that Lars isnt trying to be a bad person, you would probably do the same thing if you were in his shoes. I just think that after what happened between Lars and Napster made him lose a lot of fans. It broke my heart the day I seen a bunch of I HATE METALLICA signs on tv because of that.

Metalhead1409 07-08-2005 09:48 PM

I was really heart broken when they cut their hair

Britton 07-08-2005 09:57 PM

Me too

RiceMonster 07-08-2005 10:02 PM

Who cares if they cut there hair? Does it really affect the music?

heavy metal kid 07-08-2005 10:06 PM

i really don't give a damn, not even when they release their "sould out" albums, i respect them by their live shows and their old works, and if they can still play that i don't care how they look like.

and about the people saying we hate metallica on the tv, every band/person has haters.

and that is understandable but you cant hate metallica because of what they did with napster. that is just plain stupid as hell. not saying that really its just it makes me mad.

I didn't mean to say there hair itself was where there music came from. Getting it cut was just a sign that they'er getting older and changing along with their music style. I do like Load and Reload and all the more reasent stuff but I just happened to like the older stuff better.

LOL bro, I totally agree with you man. You know VH1 did a documentary on Metallica and mentioned them cutting their hair like it was a bad thing.

you know, i actually thin james looked a lot cooler with his hair short. he kinda looks like what i imagine satan would look like.

JACKROXYOU 07-08-2005 10:30 PM

The whole hair dispute is stupid, who cares. Long hair doesn't make a metal band any better. Anyways, I have a question to those who saw Metallica on the Madly In Anger With The World tour.

When I was in line to buy my tickets there were a few people behind me that had been going to all the concerts to see them in America. He said he lived in Vegas and had seen them 6 times on the tour already. He said that the first two songs they opened with everytime was first Blackened, then Fuel.. and then random songs. At the venue you saw them did they first play Blackened then Fuel? If you can remember.

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:04 PM

Did they do the whole scene from The Good, The Bad, The Ugly when that Mexican is in the graveyard? Right before blackened they showed that scene on a huge *** screen.

yeah that was cool, before that they play on the screen some Some kind of monster pick.

wich venue do you go?

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:07 PM

I was at San Diego. Kick *** concert, but they played nothing off of Ride the Lightning. That was a major bummer.
I was at San Diego. Kick *** concert, but they played nothing off of Ride the Lightning. That was a major bummer.
i went to san diego too, i was waiting for fade to black, but they did not played it, at least we got turn the page(they rarely play that), another think that bother me was that i wanted to hear live the unforgiven and they didn't played.

Godsmack were awesome too, the drumm duo was great.

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:13 PM

Seriously, I had no idea that Sully could play drums. He was actually pretty good. When James asked for if we wanted a slow or fast song.. I felt alone because I cheered for a slow song because I thought it was going to be there last song and I wanted Fade to Black.

what did they play?

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:17 PM

Last Caress, misfits cover.

their last song is never fade to black, but i got to admit the show was awesome, cutting the end of nothing else matters with a pause to continue with master of puppets was great, also the pyro efects at the one intro were deafening.I really wanted to see Rob's new solo, this was my second time on a metallica show and it was great.

FlyingPaul_83 07-08-2005 11:18 PM

That sucks that they didin't play anything from RTL, Best Album IMO.
They didn't even play For whom the bell tolls? I thought that was a song that they always played? No creeping death either? **** thats too bad.

brettberry 07-08-2005 11:19 PM
Last Caress, misfits cover.
they asked us the same thing in atlanta and they played orion

heavy metal kid 07-08-2005 11:19 PM
Last Caress, misfits cover.
actually the last song was Seek and Destroy, but when he asked for the slow or fast song i think it was the misfits one.

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:21 PM

Yeah, when he was all "San Diego, do yo want a slow song? Medium song? Fast song?" everyone cheered and he played that misfits song.

well, the first time i went to a metallica concert, i don't care wich song they play, the simple fact that i was going to see my favorite band make the concert worth.

but in this concert i missed RTL,is my favorite album, but they play great.

brettberry 07-08-2005 11:23 PM

I am going to change the subject here but what did everyone think when avril lavine played a metallica song at the mtv music awards in 2003?

Bazarov 07-08-2005 11:24 PM

I didn't really care for it. I mean it was better than Limp Bizkit's cover of Welcome Home.

it was on the mtv metallica icon.

and the cover sucked, maybe avril, the musicians of her bands were ok.

brettberry 07-08-2005 11:25 PM

I think it sounded horrible

Metalhead1409 07-08-2005 11:25 PM

I think Korn had the best performance
