I was actually doing some calculation last night and decided they have at least 6 more tours they have to do:

1 upcomming tour
2 more history tours
2 more album tours
1 farewell tour
I worked that out once, then realised Maiden will never die so it won't happen
Davey always writes great stuff.
Who else thinks Mr.Murray should write more?
Ooo me definitley.

Stece Harris is god so duh.

And now to think of it, davey writes some of my favorite maiden songs:
charlot the harlot
still life
deja vu
fates warning
public enema #1
BNW

and the list goes on and on........

Unlike the other members, Dave has yet to contribute a below par maiden song

EDIT: just looking at Dianno's myspace, theres a clip from a music video for a song off his upcomming album.......

Lord Abortion 05-15-2006 07:53 AM

Davey writes some good stuff.

The Masked Guitarist 05-15-2006 09:16 AM

They are all amazing albums, but in my oppinion, FotD and NotB are the 2 worst Maiden albums.

The Masked Guitarist 05-15-2006 09:35 AM

I think im goin to go with powerslave because i have heard good things about it .......

Apocalyptic Raids 05-15-2006 09:41 AM

Yeah, Powerslave is the next one you should get for sure.

I love Piece of Mind and Number Of The Beast.

I havm't listened to my NoTB in a long time. Whenever I feel like putting some Maiden, I put my Peice of Mind.

s/t album, honestly the only track I'd give below a 5 would be "Running Free".

Powerslave is sublime, X Factor is great, Dance of Death is very strong, Somewhere in Time is decent um... 7th Son is slightly overrated but enjoyable enough, Brave New World is pleasing, I'd say probably go for something from the 80's, all those albums are excellent. :thumb:

I would also like to point out that Maiden have never done a bad abum with Adrian on board, he is along with Steve an brilliant songwriter and a valuable member. Hooray for the Smithy!

Good choice, but after that be sure to look into Seventh Son and Brave New World.

Yeah, he also wrote Rainmaker with Steve, and thats one of my favorite Maiden songs (I love Dave's intro riff.) Didn't he right some other stuff on DoD and BNW?

JamJar 05-15-2006 01:41 PM

One thing I've never understood is the love for Rainmaker. I'll probably get flamed for this, but it's always been my least favourite on DoD and I've alwasys thought it's been sub-par of Maiden's amazing standards.

I really liked it until i heard the rest of DoD, i think it's a lot more mainstream friendly, which would explain it's popularity.

ashman 05-15-2006 10:02 PM

I like rainmaker, it's short catchy and has got all the trademark maiden things in one easily digestible song.

Lord Abortion 05-16-2006 05:07 AM

I like Rainmaker too...it's been the ringtone on my mobile for about 2 years...

Mines The trooper, put it on when i frist got my phone

PAJJ 05-16-2006 06:37 AM

I have the Wickerman, i didn't answer my phone once because i was singing along, i have the solo, maybe riff i can't remember which i changed it too from the trooper for my message alert.

Oh and Rainmaker is an ace song.

crag 05-16-2006 07:15 AM

I don't have any Maiden ringtones on my phone, it refuses to let me put any on it:angry:

My little brother has BYDTTS though:)

ashman 05-16-2006 07:47 AM

I r Really digging the Blood and Belief album <3 it

Lord Abortion 05-16-2006 07:53 AM

Haven't listened to it much. Can't find 10th Dimension ANYWHERE except for the combined one with SM that I already have.

JamJar 05-16-2006 10:30 AM

My ringtone used to be The Trooper but then my brother got a new phone and put The Trooper as his so we couldn't tell who's phone was ringing. He eventually made me change it to 2 Minutes To Midnight.

I need to hear some of Blaze's solo work. I've heard very good things about it but never had the oppurtunity to listen to it.

Josh 05-16-2006 12:22 PM

i have the Rainmaker ringtone :)

i can upload Blaze - As Live As It Gets for anyone who wants a sampler of stuff from different albums of his.

OOh, I've got that!

It's not that great, it loses a lot stuff in the studio imo.

But Blood & Belief is probably his best album.

Surtr 05-16-2006 01:09 PM

I'm thinking I might get a Maiden ringtone..But my phone is almost always on vibrate so there'd be little use.

crag 05-16-2006 01:10 PM

I'm yet to hear a studio album of Blaze's, all i've heard is ALAIG and him covering Wild Thing with Wolfsbayne.

That would be awsome, heres my email Aboodaboodabi@gmail.com Thanks a ton.

As for Rainmaker, I personally like it alot, mainly because of the catchy chorus and intro/outro riff. Plus I've always though the video was really cool.
