ahahha deeds of flesh is totally the current joke on slsk
|
because of their new album or just in general?
last I checked they were generally loved by guys in dmc, but i don't look in there anymore because it's full of retards |
anyone here heard of Decomposed? they were a doom influenced death metal band around in the early nineties, I've been recently digging their one album, Hope Finally Died...

really good ****
speaking of jokes brought up on slsk in this thread... |
Are they diSEMBOWELMENT-ish?
not quite, they're a lot faster and don't have the droning chug moments. they're sort of like Winter, except better. maybe even a bit like Anathema's Serenades, except heavier. |

hope finally died is pretty good stuff. i could see them being grouped with disembowelment but they're (a lot imo) less heavy and have a much different sound.
not quite, they're a lot faster and don't have the droning chug moments. they're sort of like Winter, except better. maybe even a bit like Anathema's Serenades, except heavier.
i don't know about better than winter.... speaking of anathema, all i have is "they die/crestfallen" which i like. do they have any other albums that maintain that sound? |

Better than Winter? I doubt it... |
i don't know about better than winter....

Better than Winter? I doubt it...
Well I really like Winter, but they took me a while to appreciate, whereas with Decomposed I immediately thought 'awesome'. There's no denying that Winter are far more influential though.
speaking of anathema, all i have is "they die/crestfallen" which i like. do they have any other albums that maintain that sound?
I'm not huge on their discography, I only have their first album not any of the later shitty ones, but their first album (Serenades) is pretty much along the lines of they die/crestfallen, so definitely check that out. |
same, the only reason i even got they die was cause the logo reminded me of autopsy's. i'll check it out.

Haha my first thought as well. Will be checking them out Rasputin. |
anyone here heard of Decomposed? they were a doom influenced death metal band around in the early nineties, I've been recently digging their one album, Hope Finally Died...
really good ****
One of the best doom/death bands. Not really my bag as a whole that genre but as Decomposed are much more deathly than most I still like them. |
yeah, you can go in expecting death metal and not be let down.
|
does anyone have obituary's full version of their buried alive cover? i have one version but of course it cuts out 45 seconds early and it bothers the hell out of me.
|
I'm not huge on their discography, I only have their first album not any of the later poopty ones, but their first album (Serenades) is pretty much along the lines of they die/crestfallen, so definitely check that out.
I've not heard Serenades but I recently purchased their second album, The Silent Enigma, which is quite enjoyable for the most part.
|
I haven't heard that myself, but from what I gather, Serenades is much more death metal orientated and Enigma shows the band moving away from that.

As I said, I haven't heard Serenades, so I couldn't compare the albums, but Enigma very much fits into the early-Peaceville-three framework as far as I'm concerned.
My flatmate has Crestfallen/Pentecost III on him, I should really give them a listen soon. |
