I kind of transitioned into metalcore so I don't think I have any entry bands exactly but I think Cave In was the turning point. I'm gonna listen to them now actually.

Still to this day I don't get the hubbub with Cave In.

Not everything they've done is great. But Until Your Heart Stops is pretty much flawless.

Most of their **** is top knotch but Ya UYHS's is amazing.

Needless to say it's all been downhill from there.

i dont think that overall botch is a better band than converge but i do find myself in the botch mood more often.
"we are the romans" and "anthology of dead ends" are just perfect records imo.

I like Converge more because of the riffs/lyrics/vocals/overall gritty feeling that they have that I feel Botch lacks.

yeah they do but i just think there are very, very few bands that come even close to converge.
