ok so I got a hold of my cousin's shi[SIZE=2]tty guitar and terrible amp and started to **** around with it. I have a pedal hooked up to it. What do you think of this sound/tone? I have the mid turned all the way down and the distortion all the way up. (keep in mind I hardly know anything about guitars :( )

If you're being serious, turn the mids up. When you play at high volume with no mids you get this scratchy tone with no balls.

Mids= awesome
lack of mids= reason why so many metal bands sound like crap lately

well I sort of want that nice distorted sounds thats sort of shallow, idk how else to describe it

on my old amp i could get a sound really similar to what Darkthrone had on ABITNS without any pedals, it blew out though

quite a few people over on the reviews site liked it, it was decent but definitely nothing special

it's really solid, and very original which is the important part.

i dont know, i thought it was neat, the chords he used were very unconventional, it had kind of a hopeful feeling to it which you dont hear to often.

I mean, "...Of the Dead Who Never Rest in Their Tombs Are the Attendance of Familiar Spirits..."? "In the Name of Auebothiabathabaithobeuee"? By comparison, having a song titled "Amy" just seems odd.
