I was thinking how awesome an encore of the entire SSOASS album would be.

Jesus.
They should have done that for a DVD instead of Death On The Road.

blackthorne 05-13-2006 04:42 AM

hallowed is one of maidens best it cannot be overrated!!

Lord Abortion 05-13-2006 04:48 AM

Hallowed be thy name is the greatest song ever written.

But as i was listening to DOTR i noticed bruce didnt hold the long note at the beggining of HBTN, the "RUNNING LOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"
part.

Is he getting that old?

ashman 05-13-2006 12:09 PM
Nah..he had to sneeze
he had a cold that night. when i saw them that tour, he held that note fine, but he couldn't hold "hiiiillllllsssssss" in RTTH, but then that was at the end.

at Leeds last year, he was just perfect on all the songs.

Corkofski 05-14-2006 07:28 AM

is it sad im sitting here, listening to death on the road, crying cos i cant get tickets for maiden?

shall i get seated and see them from the balcony, or not go and risk them not touring again?

would be my first ever maiden gig, ive wanted to see maiden live since the age of 12, im 16 now...

but seated...

earls court btw

Josh 05-14-2006 07:31 AM

you'll get a good view from the balcony, but i wouldn't worry about them not touring again, i think they'd tour on zimmer frames if there was no other way.

Corkofski 05-14-2006 07:34 AM

HAHA

yea, but... its not the same

anyone with earls court experience know what my chances of getting downstairs are?

Josh 05-14-2006 07:43 AM

i don't know if anyone in this thread has ever been to Earl's Court.

Newcastle ++. although the standing tickets are sold out there now, i'm glad i got mine in the pre-sale.

I was actually doing some calculation last night and decided they have at least 6 more tours they have to do:

1 upcomming tour
2 more history tours
2 more album tours
1 farewell tour

Josh 05-14-2006 08:11 AM

i plan to be at every possible tour from now until whenever they die onstage.

As long as they do their US tours in the summer, then i to will be at everything.

Thank god the said every tour now will have a live cd+live dvd.

Josh 05-14-2006 08:22 AM

hopefully, they'll record the next one at Newcastle. that would be sweet, seeing as i'm planning on being right at the front :)

Josh 05-14-2006 08:52 AM

really?

crag 05-14-2006 10:24 AM

They've never recorded anything in Glasgow, or Scotland for that matter. So they should record a DVD there.

JamJar 05-14-2006 11:39 AM

My guess would be that if they're going to record another live show soon, it would be the second Earl's Court show.

temporary 05-14-2006 01:12 PM

Once again, I'm pissed at all you lucky British bastards who get to see Maiden. As soon as US dates are anounced I will be so happy.

hahaha:cool:

/dances around happily even though he still doesn't have his tickets yet.

In other news i was listening to NPFTD a lot today and it seems that i have underestimated this album, it's definately grown on me:)

Thunder Fingers 05-14-2006 03:17 PM

Woho! only six months to the Tour :p

ahaha... you wont get many.... I have a feeling that Maiden aint USA friendly anymore, and i certanly see why...

JamJar 05-14-2006 03:19 PM

I can't wait that long. :( Luckily I have two gigs to go to until that time.

666Ozzfan 05-14-2006 06:44 PM

It would be really expensive for me to see Iron Maiden at any time, because that would require me leaving the country. Grr expensive plane tickets. If only I had the money to go to Europe to see them. It would complete my life. If only...

Lord Abortion 05-15-2006 02:02 AM

Whoa, Rare Martin Sighting ITT.

How is your Norseness?

I'm putting half my Maiden onto USB, for transference to my Zen.

Davey always writes great stuff.
Who else thinks Mr.Murray should write more?

He certainly should, BNW and Still Life are both fantastic songs with his name on them.

the_uber_penguin 05-15-2006 05:53 AM

Yay! Exams nearly over, I'll be able to live like a human again at least until I relapse back to my MX addiction).

In other news, commiserations to Mr. Harris on West Ham's result on Saturday. There were plenty of times I felt they deserved to win.
