the first couple of days i used to sit between him and the teacher, and the teacher would pass a stack of papers to me first, and i'd have to take a paper then sit a paper on his desk and get up and walk to the next person's desk so he wouldn't have to try and pass the papers with his toes

after a few days of this i made sure to always sit by the hipsters on the other side of the room
