k today i decided not to go to school and i wrote the most amazing song in the world. and i'm not even lying...it doesn't even have lyrics, and i'm afraid to write any because they might wreck the magnificentness of the music. i am so proud of myself.
Bob Dylan does a version of that, and Who killed Davie Moore is about a boxer (protest) and the hurricane, both Dylan.

Maybe not a classic rock song then maybe a random song which has a chorus about loving Brett Favre or something.

thickasabrick 12-22-2004 06:59 PM

i'm all out of ideas. just search around.

i'd rather not. i'm not very good at writing lyrics that fit with a song, so it may never have any. i'm good at writing poetry, but the second i try to write lyrics to a song it ruins it.

Get angry and disillusioned with the world first, it seems a standard place to start as a songwriter.

Can't you just use your poetry as lyrics?

gmoneyguy 12-22-2004 07:17 PM
Hurricane, that's about Boxing.
Its about a black boxer who was falsely accused of murder mainly based on his race.

lunch998 12-22-2004 07:44 PM

Hurricane is a great song.

Badmoon 12-22-2004 07:53 PM

Doing a review. You'll all want samples of these guys.

Glitterati 12-22-2004 07:57 PM

Hurricane is specifically about the boxer Rubin Carter. There was also a movie called "Hurricane" starring Denzel Washington. For further reference: http://imdb.com/title/tt0174856/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnxteD0yMHxzZz0xfGxtPTIwMHx0dD1vbnxwbj0wfHE9aHVycmljYW5lfGh0bWw9MXxubT1vbg__;fc=1;ft=76;fm=1

Also, right before I got banned, me and Creedence Clearwater were having a really good Bob Dylan trivia contest.

Who is it? Or is it a secret?

The Band - Rock of Ages is a really great album, and since everyone loves the Band, everyone should get it.

RockAndRoll 12-22-2004 08:13 PM
