Failing that, it's pretty easy to find flatmates to share with.

I would recommend it, it's a great uni and the city has lots of good stuff going on if you're over 18, which I'm fairly certain you are anyway. Great local music scene as well, with loads of nice smaller venues and whatnot.

This sounds like exactly what I want, it sounds a lot better than the unis in the US that are offered. A really good music scene is pretty much a requirement, haha, I'm not going to go to Europe or the US and not take advantage of the cheap shows. If accommodation is cheap, that helps a lot too. And yeah, I'm 19 now and I'll be 20 or 21 when I go.

Tell me though, if I go to Glasgow, will people there beat me up for not being Scottish? My friend is convinced that they will.

Glasgow is pretty culturally diverse, so you should be fine.

I think I should have been born in Scotland. I'm super white and I hate hot weather and I burn really easily.

this is true. The only time there's ever really trouble in the city centre is when Rangers play Celtic at football. You're best staying indoors that day, but generally there is a good mix of people in the city and everyone is friendly to everyone. Glasgow gets a bad rep, mostly because of the old firm football games, but it's a friendly and safe place. And you will never need to worry about hot weather again :)
