MLIW have quickly become one of my favorite bands. Few bands have made such a connection with me as they have.
|
Seriously. I went to both nights of that tour just for them. The second night I left right after them. My fists are still cut up from beating the stage during their performance. I bought a hoodie and a shirt too. I love this band.
|
nah man they are nothing to s'hit your pants about but not bad.
|
Yes, they are. They have these things called intelligence, musicianship and emotion. Works really well.
|
Im going to look at their lyrics right now.
|
You'll fall in love with them eventually.

Amazing. |
MLIW is really good. Seems like they stole the show at Terror.
|
I've found conviction in my ever changing mind.
Like I told Shane, when they played "By The Sea" that was probably one of the best 5 minutes of my life. |
The day of the first show, one of their guitarists had to fly back to Iowa because of a family emergency. They had Andrew from CBK filling in, so they only played MLMW songs. I actually was really happy about that, but they played a shorter set, which wasn't so awesome.
Oh, and they covered "Nervous Breakdown" the first night. |
They ended on "Nervous Breakdown" here, and the only new song they played was "D.E.A.D.R.A.M.O.N.E.S."
|
Scott, been meaning to ask you, how do you like your Zen Touch?
|
I love that song Dead Ramones.
|
And one more MLIW thing and I'm done:
Being crushed with my back flat across the corner of a monitor under about 15 kids while screaming my lungs out to the end of "Self Preservation" was one of the most emotionally cleansing and amazing moments of my life in recent memory.
Scott, been meaning to ask you, how do you like your Zen Touch?
I love it. My only complaint is that it's pretty thick but that doesn't really bother me. |
I love putting X's on my fists.
|
I am now in a two-piece spastic/grind/tech/metalcore band which may or may not be called Cloak And Dagger (yes, I know what you're thinking about the name). I play hella cool guitar and do vocals and my friend is the crazy drum man and we murder people. Can't wait to play the first show.
|
It'll be hard to live up to Ink & Dagger.
I gave the singer of MLIW a hug and told him "thanks" after the show. Totally posi of me. |
I bought $35 worth of merch and gave them $40 and let them keep the change. Now that's posi. I wanted to thank them but I couldn't find them.
|

 |
Oh, also if we call ourselves Cloak And Dagger, I made a crazy awesome logo, and it's all good amirite?

I bought a t-shirt and the 7", even though I had a t-shirt coming with the pre-order. I only tipped them 3 dollers though... |
the more I listen to MLIW the more I like them
|
God you guys are rich.
|
God you guys are rich. I can barely afford the show.

A friend of mine's band's logo, Cats and Dogs. Coincidence? I don't think so. |

I'm spoiled and white. All the money from my job goes towards music, gas, and food. |

Ha, nevermind, it works now. It looks nothing like mine. Mine is way more hardcore punk looking.
|
New Ed Gein song.

Damn, that song rules.
Their vocals got so much better and I can tell it's going to sound better, even with the awful PV stream. |
