I want to start a supergroup with Thom Yorke, Marilyn Manson and Klaus Schulze
|
I think I heard one of his songs on the OHM compilation.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXjMugIdpS0 This Steve Reich composition was probably my favourite find on there. |
holy **** air france is like my new favorite music. so beautiful. theyve been described as “post-rave bliss”, “beach foam pop”, and “balearic disco”, although they refer to their music as, “disco dub”. amazing stuff.
|
beach foam pop?
hmm so basically the Gorillaz first album |
or no not anything like that at all
|
then im sure it's good and all but it can't quite be beach foam pop if it don't sound like gorillaz
|
they describe themselves as "disco dub"
|
i'll make a mental note of getting to it after I finish working through Korn, Marilyn Manson, Avril Lavigne and Mindless Self Indulgence discographies
|
i'll make a mental note of getting to it after I finish middle school

Can anyone think of any IDM where it's got organic sounding live drums in it?
|

MSI are ****ing soul-destroyingly terrible.
I'd rather listen to Aiden. |

Ryoji Ikeda's Test Pattern is pretty cool
|
Ke$ha's Animal is definitely gonna be getting more listens
|
it's pretty deviant right
|
it has that unapolgetically immature party girl feel that i've always enjoyed
|
listening to Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures
why is post-punk the perfect soundtrack for urban despair and isolation |
Power electronics?

Yerr |
The American Dollar's Atlas, perhaps? A post-rock, electronic, ambient sort of thing.
Power electronics? :interested:
Check out and report back how much you hate - Whitehouse - Great White Death Brethren - Savage Inequalities
Super-fast atonal jazz is sir.
It doesn't give me quite the same feeling as PiL, Joy Division, Gang of Four etc. |
anyone heard Crisis? Douglas P. and Tony Wakeford's post-punk group before they went on to DiJ, Holocaust Hymns is pretty good

Saito Koji's Beautiful is excellent study music i've found.

|
I heard a song from them the other day on a local college radio station, and I thought they were decent. Albums to start off with?
