The original Degrassi was great stop hating. That show was sweet, the new one is gay. The old one is the reason Kevin Smith got into the biz, hater. Mind you I wasnt like, born yet, when it was on the air, but the ones I've seen were classic nostalgia (somehow).

The new Degrassi is awful though, and that's the one you've seen I'm sure. Canadian TV does suck overall but that's because most of our talent is in the US.

still, canadian TV had Bob & Doug McKenzie, the cleverest parody Americans took seriously. They basically created the stereotypical Canadian as a way to **** with Americans and it took off.

Bob & Doug were on SCTV, it was Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas. When SCTV started getting broadcasted internationally (thus influencing shows like The Simpsons), networks wanted more Canadian content. Thus Bob & Doug were born. You've seen them or felt their influence I'm sure, they perpetuated the "eh?" stereotype, made us all look like hockey hooligans, always wore vests for some reason, called beer drinkers "hosers", blablabla.

I don't know if anyone watched the new South Park, but its was possibly the worst episode I've ever seen.

I missed it. It looked dumb though.

even though it was supposed to have been amazing

the new South Park stuff I've seen has been kinda average.

There were some decent ones last year, but it's getting worse as a whole.

But tonight was on a different level.
