Looks pretty cool. Best pilots ever
Spent two weeks with those guys on RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus. They're utter legends.

I was there for their practise season aswell, so it was epic getting a Red Arrows display 3 times a day for a fortnight :naughty:

SgtPrimus 01-27-2008 06:55 PM

I'm looking for some good reading material. Any suggestions? I prefer non-fiction, but a good fiction book is always fun.

And yes, I already have Everyone Poops

The Mites 01-27-2008 06:55 PM

Private lessons are starting to take off.

My victim count is now: 4.

Whats that about....?

Don't you have to be good to give lessons?

The Mites 01-27-2008 07:27 PM

What is your problem with me?

Berk 01-27-2008 07:38 PM

so im thinking about leaving my kit at my guitarists house.

good or bad idea?

SgtPrimus 01-27-2008 07:40 PM

It is fine as long as he knows not to mess with it. Could be bad if he has siblings.

OzzyTheDoggy 01-27-2008 07:48 PM

Bad Idea. Very bad idea.

Win A Rabbit 01-27-2008 07:56 PM

Finished my first poster of a whole bunch I'm doing over the next couple days.

I'm going to be so glad when this is over.

I'm now in charge of: venue, security, lights/sound, fundraising, and advertising.

It's awesome fun, but it's just way too much to be in charge of for one person who's never done this before.

Anything by Cormac McCarthy or Chuck Pahlaniuk

SgtPrimus 01-27-2008 08:21 PM

I've read No Country For Old Men and Fight Club. Anyone other good books by Cormac? I've been told "Child of God" is a good one.

Undisco Kidd 01-27-2008 08:25 PM

read 'choke'.

green242 01-27-2008 08:47 PM

Yeah.. Even if I KNOW he's as respectful with gear as I am... If anything ever happened, what could you do? biiig hassle. Say his dog decided it was going to remodel them, or his brother/sister..
I dont do that. Unless I don't care about whatever it is I'm leaving

I don't have a problem

I was asking what the book you suggested was about and questioning whether someone your age is really qualified to start teaching lessons. Admittedly I didn't exactly word it well......but you just made out that I'm constantly being a prick to you or something....

omg good show.

Ellx 01-27-2008 09:08 PM

quick question

my friend gave me his old acoustic set, to give me something different from my electric a while back

1 the hi-tom gives the worst snare buzz ever. I know this is because the tunings clash each other or something, but is there a site or something that can give me more information?

2 the snare-wires are 16 metal 'slinky' shaped, and 5 of them are bent at the middle, such that i don't think they even touch the head when set up. Is there a way to re-bend them back to shape? Or should I just cut them off or something.

Retarded Chipple 01-27-2008 09:11 PM

1. Ignore the snare buzz or dampen the snare by putting a thin layer of tissue between reso and wires. Or, retune...

2. Just buy some new wires if you think it affects the sound at all.
