You're right. They have a steady diet of breakdowns, but they're not core in anyway.

No, BOO and VoM aren't boring. It just takes a couple listens, I know it did for me before I liked them.

Bands like Carnifex, SS, White Chapel, Impending Doom,etc. are definitely more boring (on cd). They have no flair.
