:( I don't hate you...:p

2 weeks eh? That's a bit rough! What grade are you in?

twistinside 11-25-2004 04:26 AM

11. technically 12, since the hsc course has started (started at the beginning of this term) but i like to say 11 cos it's less scary, hehe.

so yeah, this time next year school will be over and done with for me, i'll be relaxing on a beach or something :D

what about you

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 05:16 AM

Just finishing grade 10. So you beat me :p

Shaan 11-25-2004 05:23 AM

You are only in tenth grade?
Not that i even know you or ever will.

Shaan 11-25-2004 05:24 AM

I haven't noticed that I am as old as I'am and not much older.

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 05:27 AM

i just finished my hsc, go hard out and have no regrets, once you leave its the best feeling in the world :thumb:

twistinside 11-25-2004 05:38 AM

yeah, that's the plan
i just have like, zero motivation at the moment
i can't wait for these coming holidays and hopefully when i go back afterwards i'll be heaps inspired or something

are you planning to go to uni?

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 05:42 AM

yeah i want to to commerce at sydney uni or uws but i reckon my marks will be just short, i went so hard out its just one difficult hsc exam can wreck everything. just set urself a goal and shoot for it, thats what i did all year and i kept my motivation up until the end. i had to quit work and i couldnt play footy cuz i wanted to put 100% in. what subjects are you doing?

twistinside 11-25-2004 05:48 AM

sor1
2u maths
4u english
ancient history
economics

i so badly want to go to sydney uni, i went to the open day earlier this year and i just love the campus so much. i want to do secondary education, hopefully i'll get the marks for it (i'm actually aiming for 95+ and Bed/Ba should be around 90ish)

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 05:55 AM

 You are now on the members list.

Congratulations :chug:

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 05:56 AM

how good is that campus ay, its old and big but it feels like a little city. id love to go to usyd but its like an hour away from home while uws penrith is 5 minutes away, so theres good and bad about going to both. there seems to be a snob element about usyd that i dont like, but other than that its where i want to be when the round offers come out

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:02 AM

haha for real, i love the snob element!
i'm from the eastern suburbs though, so maybe that's why?
usyd is probably heaps more prestigious than uws, so if you get the marks i think you should go there for sure. then in 06 when i go there we can be unibuddies :p

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:03 AM

:D thanks!

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:07 AM

Oh yeah, now might be a good time to tell y'all I'm going away for 2 weeks and three days on saturday. I might not be on tomorrow so if I'm not, see you all when I get back (Dec 14). Yeah, I'll be in Thailand.

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:09 AM

 thailand!!
i'm so jealous
do lots and lots of shopping

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 06:10 AM

haha go uni buddies :D usyd was around #40 in the worlds best unis so i reckon it would be the better option over uws definetly, an hour long train ride every day would be worth it tho.

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:12 AM
 thailand!!

It's a mission trip but I get like 5 days for shopping

I'll get you something

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:13 AM

yeah i actually live about a 10min bus trip away from unsw, my brother goes there and that's where my parents want me to go but i'm like 'um hello, usyd has a sexy campus. i'm going there' so now they don't bug me about it, hehe

hey if you're from the penrith area, would you happen to know anyone from penrith high?

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:14 AM
It's a mission trip but I get like 5 days for shopping

ahaha excellent, thanks!
what do you have to do if it's a mission trip?
one of my friends is in this christian youth group thing, antioch. is that similar, or am i confused?

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:16 AM

Yeah, it's sorta like that except it's not with my youth group. We're going with another family from our church and we're helping people in villages and stuff. A lot of bad stuff happens over there so that's the main thing we're going for. But also to have a holiday.

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:20 AM

wow that's a really decent thing to do!
when i was little i used to think that when i grew up and moved out i'd have a whole room of my house and just keep tinned food like baked beans in it, then when it was full i'd take it to africa and feed all the children :D

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:22 AM

 thats so cute.

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 06:24 AM
hey if you're from the penrith area, would you happen to know anyone from penrith high?
no funnily enough i dont, i go to a catholic school so most of the ppl i know outside my school are from other catho schools or really close public schools like ersko or st marys

our school was offering a trip like that to the phillipines, everyone was all excited when a phillipine minister and students came to the school and encoraged people to come but it never happened.

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:26 AM

Shame :(

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:29 AM

my best friend is filipino, she tells me it's horrible there :(

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 06:30 AM

indeed, our school was more the getting behind these people financially through charity sort of school, however i heard that much of the money never actually went where it was meant to go and went straight back to the catholic church, which is pretty bad considering how rich they are

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:39 AM

oh that's just like my school, they're always asking us to donate money for poor countries and stuff, but then they go and buy **** we don't need. it's really annoying.

br3ad_man 11-25-2004 06:40 AM

That's awful :(

MY school is usally pretty good with that kinda stuff. Our grade sponsored 3 kids in Mozambique this year. My grade rules.

Happymeal 11-25-2004 06:44 AM
my best friend is filipino, she tells me it's horrible there :(

Did she live in Manila or Quezon City? I don't find my place all that horrible before I moved..

TouchNGo 11-25-2004 06:52 AM

filipinos are the nicest people but, never met a bad one which makes it even sadder taht their country has so many problems. all of the ones ive met play basketball or are singers which is quite strange

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:58 AM

actually i'm not sure where she lived, but i think her family is fairly rich in the phillipines, she lived on some island or something? i have no idea, sorry :( i'll ask her tomorrow

and she didn't say all of it's horrible, just some parts or something. no offence :p

twistinside 11-25-2004 06:59 AM

yeah, the 2 filos i sit with at school have these wicked awesome voices, they're great

Tomahawk 11-25-2004 07:02 AM

I knew a Filipino dude, he told me that the place sucked, but he liked it too. If that makes sense.

twistinside 11-25-2004 07:03 AM

yea, like my friend!

Shaan 11-25-2004 07:09 AM

Do you live in a place with a lot of Philipinos?
I don't mean to dis but i know a lot and even have a really good friend that is philipino. He hates his mom and she hates the world.

Shaan 11-25-2004 07:10 AM

Wow, it's late my spelling is shot. :upset:
