vashts80 03-28-2005 12:11 PM

Whoever they're touring with, I'm definitely ****ing going. I hope DT is definitely going, I'd **** my pants to see DT and 'deth

MAthiAS 03-28-2005 12:30 PM

Link please man. I don't believe Mudvayne for a second.

Carlos Santana 03-28-2005 12:35 PM
I heard Megadeth is doing a summer tour with Anthrax, Motorhead, and Mudvayne. I also heard the name of the tour is gonna be called "Slave to the Metal" tour. Its a pretty credible site I read this from.
thats a show on fuse. with the hot chick

DisposableHeroes 03-28-2005 12:41 PM
What brand of bass did David Ellefson play?
Jackson maybe

RiceMonster 03-28-2005 12:51 PM

The whole band played Jackson when Mustaine was still with them, didn't they?

willis2441 03-28-2005 12:57 PM
Megadeth played without Mustaine?
there is no megadeth without mustaine!

DisposableHeroes 03-28-2005 01:02 PM
Megadeth played without Mustaine?
I think he means all the musicians who played in 'Deth used Jacksons

RiceMonster 03-28-2005 01:07 PM
Megadeth played without Mustaine?
Haha, I ment when he was with Jackson. :)

DisposableHeroes 03-28-2005 01:11 PM

So, lets keep guessing whos gonna be on the line-up for the last run of America

Anthrax i think is very likely, seeing as Dave said he wanted to play with them, Testament maybe too?

IAJP 03-28-2005 02:25 PM

If it was Testament I would ****ing love that,
Exodus would be a nice addition also.

kirk_wylde 03-28-2005 02:44 PM

Speaking of cool lineups. Deth are playing Download (ITS MONSTERS OF ROCK **** THEM THAT NAMES MUCH COOLER) this year, with anthrax, and slayer (If only metallica were there then we'd have the big four of thrash all in the space of three days. Now thats a cool lineup althought not on the same day.

Plus is risk worth buying?

DisposableHeroes 03-28-2005 02:46 PM

Plus is risk worth buying?
Apparently not

MAthiAS 03-28-2005 02:49 PM

Add Metallica to a tour and you're adding $50 to the ticket price, along with some very average metal.

Deth 03-28-2005 02:50 PM

I will see Deth no matter whos supporting them, but Anthrax would be unbelievably awesome. Hopefully I'll see Ozzfest, Priest, Opeth and Megadeth this year.

kirk_wylde 03-28-2005 02:53 PM

I would like to disagree. Recently 'Tallica have been playing mostly their good old stuff. But thats besides the point they're not playing. Plus everyone has their own oppinion so cool. And frankly Deth, Slayer, Sabbath ect. is pretty **** amazing already lol.

"Apparently not" ...cheers for that Btw Disposable guy.. that may save me a few quid.

ARRGH that reminds me 'Deth came to my home town (BRIMINGHAM) with diamond head (WOW)..but I bloody well missed it. (although I very nearly went)..I don't suppose theres a slim chance anyone here went??

MAthiAS 03-28-2005 02:55 PM

Even if Tallica play they're old stuff, James can't sing worth a shit anymore.

DisposableHeroes 03-28-2005 02:55 PM

Its their poppy era i think, kirk wylde

Deth 03-28-2005 02:58 PM

Actually, I think Hetfield can still sing very well now, but whatever.

yeah but he forgets the lyrics. :amaze:

MAthiAS 03-28-2005 03:24 PM

No, he can't sing now. He sings way out of key and way too clean for thrash.

Deth 03-28-2005 03:29 PM

Well, we disagree. I saw them in November and thought everyone was in top shape. You seem to be attacking him for some reason.

Too clean for thrash? Well, that's just biased opinions at its worst.
Link please man. I don't believe Mudvayne for a second.
you know what, the info I read is a rumor but this site is never wrong, here's what I read: Anthrax have officially announced their long-talked about "Among The Living"-era line-up reunion, you can read more about that here. Despite the reunion, the band have not parted ways with vocalist John Bush however. The reunion line-up of the band are heavily rumored to be taking part in the upcoming "Slave To The Metal Tour", which is rumored to also feature Megadeth, Motorhead and Mudvayne, among others.

Oh well, The tour is gonna be dope no matter who is on it.

MAthiAS 03-29-2005 02:36 PM

I still can't see Dave asking Mudvayne to do a tour.

metaholicman 03-29-2005 11:14 PM

I have a question who would you rather have be part of the band its purly hypothetical is you could choose between Marty Friedman or Chris Poalnd who would you choose to be in the the band based on playing ability and creativity

wrongnote85 03-30-2005 12:15 AM

chris poland. dude was absolutly amazing in my book. that broken finger of his was just the coolest thing, not to mention his jazz chops. check out the main solo in rattlehead to see what i'm talking about.

what does everybody think of jeff young?

Lord Abortion 03-30-2005 03:28 PM

megadeth at download...
anyone else coming?

We've gone through this many a time. Marty.

Sandtrap 03-30-2005 06:03 PM
We've gone through this many a time. Marty.
Marty...he looks so much more the part! You know what I mean?

MAthiAS 03-30-2005 06:14 PM

No, I don't, but he's better.

Sandtrap 03-30-2005 07:07 PM
No, I don't, but he's better.
the pictures I seen of poland hes bald and Marty had long hair and wore leather and really fit into the 80s metal scene. I liked his guitar work and his style.

vashts80 03-30-2005 08:15 PM

I like Chris and Marty equally, but I'd have to say Marty. The Tornado of Souls solo pwns all.

MAthiAS 03-30-2005 08:25 PM

Chris had long hair when he was with Deth.

Busiris 03-30-2005 08:35 PM

Megadeath is cool lol
NO MORE, MR. NICE GUY!!
OHH that solo is so awesome

RiceMonster 03-30-2005 08:43 PM
Chris had long hair when he was with Deth.
Yes, but it was more moderatly long wasn't it? I mean not as long as, say, Mustaine's.

Ps. You haven't been on Simple Man's forums much lately.

MAthiAS 03-30-2005 08:47 PM
Megadeath is cool lol

Get out.

Yeah I know, for some reason I just haven't. I'll have to get over there more now.

RiceMonster 03-30-2005 08:58 PM

Great to hear. :)

a8o 03-31-2005 07:19 AM

megadeth is my favourite band

IAJP 03-31-2005 08:20 AM
Chris had long hair when he was with Deth.
Yeah, what the ****'s this guy talking about, "he was bald."...

But yeah, Talking of both guitarists, I prefer Marty's style, technically.
But I prefer Poland's solos (on the bonus tracks) on R.I.P.
They add a whole new depth to the songs,
by the way, NICK MENZA=GOD!
