70's Rock is overrated.
60's > all |
I don't really care when music was made as long as it was good. My favorite time for music was 65-75. Before all of the crap. Blues roots were hard to miss then. A lot of bands in the late 70s to now sound so generic, however the blues can never bore me.
70's Rock is overrated.
60's > all
Agreed. |
i like a lot of stuff from the 60's, 70's and even some from the 80's. it's all good. This isn't really classic rock, but do u know what was a good song. that song by that band sister hazel in the early/mid 90's "well it's hard to say what it is i see in you wonder if i'll always be with you". i just like that song...
|
I like 60's too. Some early 70's, but I'm not much of a fan of the latter zeppelin and floyd, for instance.
|
late sixties are where it's at.
|
late sixties are where it's at.
"To those of you who rock...I salute you"
You all rock. You are right. Rock is on the comback. Although at my school it is a small majority. GO THE YARDBIRDS AND ZEPPELIN. THE RAMONES. DEEP PURPLE. THE EAGLES. ERIC CLAPTON. THE WHO, THE DOORS AND ALL THOSE I FORGOT WHO ROCK (the beatles suck dude). I think it is bnads like ac/dc and the darkness which are very similar to the old rock styles. As well as some of the old bands like the eagles and deep purple and the who are haveing tours(eagles last tour ...cant wait). And franz ferdinand is gonna get very big soon i rekon ...hes really good. |
If The Beatles and The Who are classic rock, how about The Kinks? I'm really getting into them now, but I never see them mentioned on these forums. :amaze:
I love the Kinks. a lot. They are really quite an underrated band... |
OMG Next week is going to be awesome.
Wednesday - Rush Concert Friday - Peter Frampton Concert Saturday - Deep Purple w/ Joe Satriani Concert let's hear some jealousy right now. I'm so psyched. |

|
The kinks are classic rock but I can't say I really listen to them.
|
^^^You suck. I don't even go to concerts.
What an idiot. Live concerts are even better than the albums. The whole experience of it is great. Maybe you just can't afford to buy tickets cause you're too stupid to get a job. |
yep my concert lineup is amazing. and friday i'm gonna see Festival Express. That documentary about The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and the Band on tour in a train in Canada. It should be very good. at least the soundtrack will be lol.

Good god where do you live? On another note you can't insult the beatles in the classic rock thread. Get out if you're going to be like that. Just another idiot who is closed minded (and types in caps, what an idiot). Because you say the beatles suck, does not mean that lots of other people agree with you. Take your idiot closed-minded attitude to another thread or even forum. |
I would definetly have to agree.
|
I might being going to see Bela Fleck.
And maybe Gov't Mule and Chris Robinson :) |
Has anyone seen the "new" Doors?

Its all the origanol members except for Jim. They got a young guy who looks like him and sounds a bit like them. All they do are the old songs, the magic is gone.

If you insist ;). Anyways enough spamzoring. Ya I don't think the doors would be the same without Morrison. Although they'd still be great to see live. |
I said it wouldn't be the same. Not that it would be bad. I wanna go see them now.
|

Does Trans-Siberian Orchestra count? I saw them twice. And I saw the fake Pink Floyd when it came to Akron. Other than that, nothing. And you don't need to be so harsh. |

And you don't need to be so harsh.
Fake pink floyd isn't real pink floyd. Of course the cover band isn't as good as the real thing. And yes I do need to be harsh. |
