Fear of the Dark from the Raising Hell tour is ok although I don't like that Janick fellow :thumb:

Also I dig any of the Rock in the Rio stuff. The Evil that men Do. The Clairvoyant, Infinite Dreams. you know...why complain and dislike any it's Iron ****IN' Maiden.

Fear Of The Dark definatly, the way the crowd starts to sing along with the guitar melody is so good.

MothEatenDeerHead213 08-17-2004 02:25 PM

www.rockabilia.com they have a bunch of those kind of things

E.vil_N.ever_D.ies1344 08-17-2004 08:57 PM

I convinced my band to learn Fear of the Dark finally :D They started learning their parts today and me and the rythem guitarist already know our parts. We plan on learning it and saving it to close up our next Battle of the Bands with.

Besides that I really just wanted to save this thread and it took me forever to find it again.

GurS 08-18-2004 05:41 AM

yeh, it sucks that this thread is getting a little slowish

btw you can get loads of wall flags on ebay

The Mercenary 08-18-2004 02:23 PM

just stickin this tread back up top, where it belongs!

*listens to sign of the cross from rock in rio*

How many albums did maiden put out? seems like a lot

GurS 08-18-2004 04:20 PM

13 studios, 2/3 compilations, 5 live albums (seven if you include eddie's archives)

bof22 08-18-2004 04:41 PM

ah ok, thanks

GurS 08-19-2004 04:36 AM

nae bother

GurS 08-20-2004 04:56 AM

what the hell... sixth page? you guys are really slacking.

bruce has the most ridiculous fringe in the aces high vid. yeh.

Thunder Fingers 08-20-2004 06:54 AM

yeah, i know it sucks.. i love steves bass in aces high video :P the lado unicorn with an maple instead of rosewood fretboard would be great..

The Mercenary 08-20-2004 07:17 AM

i got a lado earth - the same one adrian smith used in the two minutes to midnight video - this one

http://www.lado-guitars.com/earth_2002.jpg

he he, bruces fringe rocks!! ......

The Mercenary 08-20-2004 07:17 AM
How many albums did maiden put out? seems like a lot
did? what do you mean did? they aint done yet!!! :D

GurS 08-20-2004 07:19 AM

a good point.

yeh, adrian's lado on live after death is my joint favourite maiden guitar - the other being adrian's les paul from the wicker man video

The Mercenary 08-20-2004 07:21 AM

i havent seen the wicker man video....ill have to try fish it out..

if he used a les paul on that track, why did he change to a strat for the live rock in rio?

GurS 08-20-2004 07:33 AM

i have no idea... which is a shame, as it's a bloody nice les paul

GurS 08-20-2004 07:40 AM

it's not the sanest of videos... it's got bruce playing with a giant ballon, eddie hypnotizing a guy, some teenage maiden fans going crazy and human sacrifice

The Mercenary 08-20-2004 07:44 AM

^ just the kind of stuff i like!!

are there any plans to release any more of thier stuff from dance of death? i know they dont tend to release many off of any album, but wildest dreams and rainmaker did quite well, for a 30 year old metal act!

i think they got 6th with WD and 14th with rain didnt they (uk charts anyway...)

GurS 08-20-2004 07:51 AM

yeh, i think so.

they normally only release 2 songs from each album:
Running Free, Sanctuary
Purgatory, Twilight Zone
Run To The Hills, Number Of The Beast
The Trooper, Flight Of Icarus
Aces High, Two Minutes To Midnight
Stranger In A Strange Land, Wasted Years

Etc.

They should've released Face In The Sand and Montsegur... but they're probably too long for radio.

The Mercenary 08-20-2004 08:53 AM

i would have thought they might do journeyman, just because its so mch mellower (is that a word?!?) than the usual stuff, but yea, probably too long for radio.

GurS 08-20-2004 09:37 AM

eletric journeyman > acoustic journeyman
