Same here.
I read ludicrously fast, always have.
at middle school, i was 3 years ahead of the other kids in my reading age :p

Lord Abortion 12-07-2005 12:53 PM

Hehe, I used to get told off for just sitting reading and not paying attention to teachers.

Josh 12-07-2005 12:54 PM

when we did "The Hobbit" in english, we had to read it out loud, when it was my turn i was about 5 pages ahead and i got told off for not being in the right place, they thought i just wasn't paying attention :(
Hehe, I used to get told off for just sitting reading and not paying attention to teachers.
how fukking pathetic is this...

they have no problems if you just stare blankly, and waste the time completely, but as soon as you pull something out that could somehow advance you

BLOW!

Lord Abortion 12-07-2005 12:57 PM

Yep, it's ludicrous.
and Josh, I had the same thing, most of the class were semi-illiterate anyways, so when reading aloud, they always stumbled over words and stuff, which got me impatient.

N.P Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah

"Well it goes like this, the 4th, the 5th. The minor fall and the major lift."

Tis an amazing album. I voted for him in the Top 100 vocalists.

the2stranger 12-07-2005 01:03 PM

np: Bizet - March Of The Toreadors

This song never fails to make you happy, and it's so damn fine for headbanging

I did too, actually. No one else in the grou preally appealed to me.

Some of those nominated higher up are confusing anyway.
at middle school, i was 3 years ahead of the other kids in my reading age :p
A friend of mine (who I haven't seen since I was about ten, actually, but who has apparently turned into a bit of an arse since) and I both had reading ages of either 13 or 15, when we were 8. I used to love those tests.

Must I play the "everyone vote for Matt Barlow" card again!?

i think you mean buckley, since he's clearly the superior vocalist.

Cool song. But Buckly > Barlow, even though Iced Earth are uber ace.

having a couple (read many) beers with a mate of mine

He's not really classic rock.

i put a request for more stuff of theirs in the YSI thread but no-one answered it :( i think it's still on the last page of the thread.

Bartender 12-07-2005 02:19 PM

Subtle. I'll start a little zip/rar file of uploads for you? Hopefully it'll work tonight. Might end up being tomorrow morning, if my connection decides it hates you.

I was just impressed at the choice of song. It's not one of their better known (insofar as any of their stuff is known) ones.

very subtle me  that'd be cool if you can do that. i think it was Spat Out Plath made the first sampler for me a couple of weeks ago. i read the Wikipedia write-up on them today as well, which was interesting.

Bartender 12-07-2005 02:28 PM

I just recently read that write-up too. Hadn't heard the creation myth before.

What's your email, for me to send it to, anyway? I don't want to go to your profile for it :)
