going away has a riff.. emo has a bass riff thingo. but yeh ur right about the other ones but easy target has a intresting drum beat. :thumb:

We have a winner.

Tom Delonge does use some funky chords. I would say he's probably a better guitarist than Billie Joe, but hes still nothing special. And I'm not even entirely sure he actually is better. That doesnt mean he's a better musician than BJ though.

I would agree. Green Day are musically better.

Tom Delonge has some decent riffs. I would choose him over Billie Joe in guitar. But I would say they are pretty much equal.

Going Away to College really doesn't have a riff. It has chord based intro, but I wouldn't consider it a riff.

I will remain neutral in this, as both bands are so good that it's impossible to decide which is better.

i like both bands so im not going to compare.

u know i heard blink 182 didnt really brake up my cousins a really big blink fan and he says that travis left the band to go on tour with his bros band the transplants and when he gets back there going to make another record.

why does it matter if there are riffs or not in a song??? just curious
