Hyperpower! is obviously just a fun title. Everything doesn't have to be Hyperserious! all the time.
you know that i appreciate the "harder" site of Trent Reznor more :D a 2nd Broken would be great - and "burn" is just one of his best releases!!!
a 2nd broken would be good but I'd take a 2nd TDS any time! :p
Mr.Self-Destruct is an awesome album opener, methinks. And concert opener as well..I've seen them open a show with that one, Somewhat Damaged and You Know What You are..and my favorite by far has been Pilgrimage/Self-Destruct.
you know what? if the setlist will stay as it is... i will buy the tickets... the setlist is... nine-inch-nailgasm :smoke:
:p Yes, that particular setlist was orgasmic! But it's not the same one they play every night. I'd be very satisfied with that one though. Tonight's set didn't have We're In This Together Now..but it did have Into the Void, The Fragile and Even Deeper.
By the way, the "Only" clip that was posted today at nin.com (from the live dvd) was awesome!

Montana 02-13-2007 12:17 PM

I think "Hyperpower!" sounds funny. Maybe it's something political.

This is a dumb question really, but I was wondering which disc of The Fragile is the beginning disc, if there is even a proper one to start with. If I'm listening to the whole album at once, I always start with the right.

Clunge 02-13-2007 12:23 PM

March Of The Pigs is quite possibly, the best piece of music ever.

The contrast is just brilliant, I can't think of another example that is quite so startling.

Montana 02-13-2007 12:46 PM

Nevermind my question about the Fragile. I just unfolded the album and noticed the tracklist starts with the left. So I've been listening backwards. :(

Kage 02-13-2007 01:53 PM

That's so weird. To me it was always obvious that Left was the first disc.

Polyamarous 02-13-2007 02:12 PM

Does anyone know who the support band(s) is/are?

repcak 02-13-2007 02:33 PM

Ladytron or The Popo

misunderstood 02-13-2007 02:35 PM

I think the first half of the tour is being opened by Popo and the other half by Ladytron. Honestly, I have no idea who either one is..never heard of them.
That's so weird. To me it was always obvious that Left was the first disc.
Yeah, same here. But I don't think there's really a 'proper' way to listen to that album. Doesn't really matter which disc you start with...or does it? o.O

Polyamarous 02-13-2007 02:57 PM

I just checked the website, Birmingham (wher I'm seeing them) is ladytron!

They're polish-lesbian-techno-rock. It's complete rubbish.

misunderstood 02-13-2007 03:15 PM

This whole new NIN album is turning out to be one big encoded mess! :p
Not sure if any of you visit www.theninhotline.net or not but they've been constantly updating on all new things surfacing. The new tour shirts (there's a picture of one at that site) have certain letters that are highlighted and when put together spell out 'I am trying to believe'. I was trying to get onto the ETS boards but server is too busy...they've got a huge thread over there about all of this and people trying to 'decode' whatever they find.

Heh, just thought this was a bit weird. Not very NIN-like. This more like something Tool or Blair from Toolband would do..encode everything! :p

Kage 02-13-2007 03:23 PM

I used to check the nin hotline and go to the forums, but they're so exhausting. Everyone overanalyzing shit and latching on to every single minutia of anything NIN related. It's like, get a life.

misunderstood 02-14-2007 12:22 AM

^I know. That's how Toolnavy is or was...probably even worse. That site I did stop going to eventually. Finally was able to log onto to ETS but wasn't there for very long. It's all to complicated and I really don't want to even attempt to understand what's going on over there. But anyway, found this:
Nine Inch Nails has revealed the tracklist for Year Zero on the Web site yearzero.nin.com, and it looks like the new CD will have 16 tracks. The album is due in stores on April 17, and the first single, “Survivalism," will arrive at radio on February 27 with an add date of March 6. Reportedly Year Zero will be the first of two concept albums, and the second one will be released probably in 2008.
So not only do we get the live dvd on the 27th but we also get a single! Woot! And a double concept album from NIN? o.O
I dont even know what to think of this. And the concept is all very strange too, heh.

misunderstood 02-14-2007 05:45 PM

Ugh, one of the songs from the new album leaked earlier today. I couldn't help it so yes, I have listened to it already. I don't think I actually really tried to hold myself back this time though. Oh well. I won't post the link here just in case everyone is strong enough to hold off until April but if anyone is interested in giving it a listen, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you. I won't talk much about it but I will say that this album seems promising. The song is very different from anything on WT...kinda reminded me of something off TDS.

I won't say shi' about it though for the sake of the insanely disciplined.

Polyamarous 02-15-2007 10:00 AM

Can I get a hit?

alexdcd(at)gmail.com

magicbus 02-15-2007 10:18 AM

I decided I won't listen to any leaks, just wait for the album. What's the official release date again?

Kage 02-15-2007 10:19 AM

April 24th or something.

EDIT: April 17th, actually.

magicbus 02-15-2007 10:21 AM

Ok, I can do that.

It sounds like it's going to be pretty sweet.

Kage 02-15-2007 10:33 AM

Yeah that's really not a bad wait at all.

Done.

Ok, I'm beginning to think that this 'leak' was deliberately put out. I mean, they found the song in some USB drive in a bathroom stall at one of the recent NIN shows. And now, there are some weird graphics next to that particular song on the tracklisting on NIN.com..marking that it's been 'leaked', maybe? Ah,whatever.

On another note, 'The Becoming' and 'Heresy' were played at last nights show! The Becoming! Probably one of my favorite NIN songs..lucky bastards! :p

That was a pretty short time between this one and With Teeth. Trent dosen't waste any time between albums.

pixiesfanyo 02-15-2007 01:22 PM

Lemme hear that song.

pixiesfanyo 02-15-2007 01:35 PM

yeah that song is sweet.

Magicaltroll 02-15-2007 03:38 PM

I wanna listen!

I wanna know if this will suck or not.
