What are some other bands like Black Sabbath and do you consider them Classic rock? I want some more band sbecause I like the Sabbath style more than the Zep style of rock.
i am a huge classic rock band and i do agree with you that there is a new found interest in classic bands . the public interest for classic rock will come and go with the changing fads but if your a real fan than your always a fan i guess
you seem to have gotten the word fan mixed up with band... unless you really are a huge classic rock band if so can i have your autograph

A few days ago I saw Him Mitchell play. Man that was a good concert. Anybody else like Kim Mitchell?

Paranoidd 07-16-2004 09:06 AM

Yeah dude, Max Webster stuff is cool :)

Good stuff. He's actually a good guitarist.

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 09:45 AM

Indeed he is. Indeed.

Badmoon 07-16-2004 11:31 AM

Hey, I may go see the Allman Brothers soon. Is Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes playing with them, on this tour?

Paranoidd 07-16-2004 11:32 AM

Warren Haynes is.

Badmoon 07-16-2004 11:34 AM

I was pretty sure about that, but is Derek?

Paranoidd 07-16-2004 11:37 AM

That, I don't know. There was an article about them in this months guitar world, but its at home and I'm at work...

Google it maybe?

Badmoon 07-16-2004 11:49 AM

It doesn't matter really, because I'll go just because of Warren.

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 11:52 AM

Warren Hanes is enough by himself. But another guy would make it better.

Btw what happened to Dicki?

WarlockGuitarist 07-16-2004 12:00 PM

Im only 14 it amazes me that most people of my age couldnt tell Green Day from
Zeppelin there missing out on great music. Classic Rock is by far the best there is. Everything on my playlist is older than me. I havent heard a solo in a new song in so long. Its sad :upset:

nextjimmypage 07-16-2004 12:19 PM

classic rock is the s'hit. i love all the big names--aerosmith, zep, hendrix, many others, also i like less known bands like allman bros, tesla, doobie bros,38 special, black crowes-- i like new rock that sounds like classic rock, like the darkness, ben kweller, silvertide

Badmoon 07-16-2004 12:19 PM

I don't know, I guess he went solo :)

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 12:21 PM

:) good for him. He has 6 months to live acording to the laws of rock and roll. Any guitarist from a great guitar band that goes solo will die within 6 months of leaving the band. I'll miss him :(

nextjimmypage 07-16-2004 12:21 PM

it makes me sad cuz im 15 and all my music is at least 15 years older than me. i went to see kiss and aerosmith and it was the s'hit!!!!!!!!

Badmoon 07-16-2004 12:23 PM

I bet I can play for The Allman Brothers. Has anyone noticed that they hire and have a good amount of Blonde haired men playing for them. There's my ticket in ;)

Paranoidd 07-16-2004 12:23 PM

Hrmm...what about Clapton?

Slashs snakepit had some good stuff.
John Frusciante seems to be doing well.

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 12:26 PM

Dangit :(. Yeah well Frusciante is sure to OD soon. Clapton is god thearfore he can't be killed :thumb:

Pwn't

Yea, but surpringly, so far when an Allman Brothers member goes solo, he usually does pretty well. Mark um down, Trucks, Allman, Haynes, and Betts has done okay, and hopefully will remain that way.

Badmoon 07-16-2004 12:28 PM

Yea, but Clapton is in a way a virtuoso. He has never stayed in a band that long. Mark um down once again, Mayall, Cream, Dereck and the Dominoes, Blind Faith, The Yardbirds. He never stayed that long for any.

Nshah90 07-16-2004 12:35 PM

the ABC's keep on dying, unless...

KISS (they have been around for a LONG time)

Nshah90 07-16-2004 12:36 PM

Then, obviously, it'd be Led Zeppelin

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 12:58 PM

lynyrd skynyrd :)

Badmoon 07-16-2004 01:25 PM

meat loaf, yours doesn't count.

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 01:27 PM

mEANIE :( There, I deleted it, it's dead now. Poor Mark knopfler :(

Neil Young.

Badmoon 07-16-2004 01:31 PM

That doesn't count either.

BludgeonySteve 07-16-2004 01:31 PM

Why not?
