They probably wouldn't hire me, since I dress normal and I'm not a goth. I'm also not into punk or metal.
Just say, "I have an extensive knowledge on Classc Rock."

jpj 02-08-2005 06:50 PM

The city just north of me has a classic rock station and Pittsburgh does, so that's good enough for me. And I don't think a town of 4,000 really needs its own radio station.

Woodstock 02-08-2005 06:51 PM

I have two classic rock radio stations

They both suck though. All I hear is Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell" and ZZ Top's "Tush".
Just say, "I have an extensive knowledge on Classc Rock."
They probably don't have a large enough classic rock costumer base to need an employee devoted to it. If I was emo though....

Well our town only has 7000 people but we might because the closest one is like 2 hours away in Rock and Roll's hometown.

Anyone want some live Dead/Traffic/Spirit/Jazz is Dead/Who?

No.

jpj 02-08-2005 07:07 PM
No.
That hurt my feelings :(

I'm interested in Traffic.

Jam2Me 02-08-2005 07:08 PM

I have a decent station, PLR...a little too much Zeppelin sometimes, but other then that they have a good variety, dabbling in jam bands occasionally too which is cool.

Their s/t is good, I'll send that to you.

lunch998 02-08-2005 07:32 PM

No more takers?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 07:33 PM

Whew. I finally caught up.

I saw the Super Bowl halftime. I loved it! :thumb: This is the only half-time in football that I've ever watched. I was happy with the selection of songs too. My friend said it sucked, I told her she sucks.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 07:33 PM

I'm a taker!

Jam2Me 02-08-2005 08:24 PM

Anyone here got American Beauty that can tell me what the last track is!!!???

Good because Paul doesn't suck

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:41 PM

This is the same girl who says all my music sucks, then tells me she loves the Rolling Stones.

Anyway, I'm almost done with that webpage on Cream for my computers class. :D I think it's alright for an 8-day project (we are on day 6 right now). If anyone would like to take a look, tell me. *I'm not promoting, just informing, this page won't be up for long.*

Woodstock 02-08-2005 08:45 PM

I'd like to take a look, maybe give you some feedback.

"Truckin'"

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-08-2005 08:53 PM

It's at www.westvilleschool.com/Word/mwhiteaker

It should work, except for the background on the discography page; it's rainbow but I saved it wrong so it won't show up til I fix it tomorrow. Sorry that the page is a little boring in the looks department.

Jam2Me 02-08-2005 08:56 PM
"Truckin'"
And what all the weird dialogue, I know it's an advertisement but it's really weird one, no idea what it means.
Track 19 I dunno if you have the deluxe edition thingy.

Badmoon 02-08-2005 09:03 PM

Ohhh, you got the remastered with all the extra tracks. The real end to American Beauty is the first featured "Truckin'". The last one is of course a joke :) They're on most of the singularly released Dead remastered albums.

Jam2Me 02-08-2005 09:06 PM

Yeah my CD case doesn't say anything about it, just ends at Truckin' but Track 19 is some weird noises and really trippy/weird dialogue I guess it was an old advertisement, it coudln't have worked to well though.

Is Old and in the Way's "Wild Horses" a cover of the Stones?

I did the same exact thing for my web design class. It was a five page site on Cream (index, background, jack, eric, ginger). Pretty spiffy I might add.

Badmoon 02-08-2005 09:10 PM
Is Old and in the Way's "Wild Horses" a cover of the Stones?
Yes, "Wild Horses" is a common Bluegrass cover.

Angie is probably the Stones best ballad
Anyone want some live Dead/Traffic/Spirit/Jazz is Dead/Who?
...I would. But I'm noticing you are offline. Congrats on the 3000 btw.

And that's a killer site Badmoon, thanks for the heads up. I'm suprised I haven't learned (or tried to) any of those songs...better start now. (I'd give you some rep but I gotta spread it first)

So tonight I'm teaching one of my students, and as he's packing up his guitar he's like "I just burnt a cool cd, it's got I'm Just a Kid and Sweet Home Alabama and other great guitar songs on it."
Someone please point out the error in that comment, I'm having trouble pinpointing why it sounds so odd.

Learn "My Favorite Things" and/or "Dawg's Bull". I could give you both songs if you ever need them.

BillCosby 02-08-2005 10:36 PM

Posting in this thread usually gets me rep

Agreed. I love playing it on my acoustic.

Illmatic 02-08-2005 11:19 PM

I can't stand "Angie"
That would definitely be the greatest job ever. My cousin works at a used CD store and he gets CD's for like $3
I'd love to work in a CD store. But all the ppl you see in CD stores where I live look like they've walked out of some sports store. It doesn't make sense...

Illmatic 02-08-2005 11:25 PM

I used to work in a record store.

Is it as good as you guys seem to think it is?

...yes.

Seafroggys 02-08-2005 11:58 PM

I'd rather work at an instrument store. That way you wouldn't have to deal with the rap and pop homeboys (cuts down at least some of the crap  )

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 02-09-2005 12:13 AM

Wow its Thickasabrick! :)
