Speaking of harmonizing and the beatles you guys should find the CSNY version of blackbird.
Wow, I didn't know they covered it.

RockAndRoll 12-22-2004 01:46 AM

I didn't either, I stumbled across it by accident, it's amazing though.

jpj 12-22-2004 08:18 AM

Did you know Phish did a cover of that song Tubthumping? Where they go "pissing the night away". The band that did it was called Chumbawumba or something.

Well it's really funny because you can hear them laughing at some spots.

One of a Kind 12-22-2004 08:22 AM

Yump. Chumbawumba did the original. God did I listen to awfully ****ty music back in the day.

IAJP 12-22-2004 08:30 AM

"I get knocked down, but I get up again, there's nothin' gonna keep me down"

jpj 12-22-2004 08:30 AM

IAJP 12-22-2004 09:21 AM
1. Who sings Mrs. Robinson?
2. In Waynes World II, when Wayne is trying to stop the marriage and he's in the convertible, what is that song that is playing? "do dodo do do dodo". Is it Mrs. Robinson?

/so confused and in need of that song
Well, during the car scene Mrs. Robinson is playing, but it is a cover by The Lemon Heads.

Woodstock 12-22-2004 09:59 AM

Hey Jude was a single record, it was released along with the heavy version of Revolution.

CSNY's cover of Blackbird is meh, nothing more.

I was surprised my Dad had that Chumbawumba CD.

Badmoon 12-22-2004 10:02 AM

Mr. Rock not Roll, how were the samples. Explain your liking or hating for each.

The first CD I ever ownded was Matchbox 20-Mad Season. It really wasn't that bad, but I didn't know better. It probably sounds like crap today.

magicbus 12-22-2004 10:19 AM

The song by The Polyphonic Spree was awesome. Very atmosphearic (sp) and I really liked the many changes in temp. The singing and tone of the guitar was godo and overall it was just a great listen.

Widespread Panic was awesome as usual ;)
