Lol, awesome new avatar, Kyle.

It seems I'm 883 pages late... I did a browse but didn't really see this album discussed.

that's Artillery's By Inheritance for the image-impaired.

It's not my favorite "kind" of thrash but it's by far my favorite album to listen to the whole way through.

ArcLite 12-21-2009 08:16 PM

Artillery \m/

Fantastic album that definitely doesn't get enough recognition. I think most people on here though are familiar with them and like them. Khomaniac is awesome.

Txus 12-21-2009 08:21 PM

Tbh I prefer Fear of Tomorrow but that album is also pretty damn awesome. Haven't heard anything else by them.

south_of_heaven 11 12-21-2009 11:42 PM

Fear of Tomorrow and By Inheritance are awesome. Their new album isn't too shabby either...
The hardest decision ever is Peace Sells vs. Rust in Peace.

Peace sells has pretty much every song is great.

But Rust has much better songs (holy wars), and also some ****ty songs (lucretia).

Overall I'd have to go with neither one.
Lol the only $hitty song Rust has is Dawn Patrol. And its not even that $hitty, just filler.

If you listened to original and not the remastered piece of $hit, you might change your mind.

Tip: If you want to listen to Megadeth and actually enjoy them, you pretty much have to listen to the originals(Any of their classic albums released BEFORE 2004 WITHOUT the bonus tracks). A lot of the remasters are actually remixed with Dave's 2004 poopty vocals. Funny how Endgame actually has semi-decent thrash vocals though.

I know it's weird. Dave can't do vocals very well but yet the ones on Endgame aren't that bad.

Itwasthatwas 01-01-2010 08:01 PM

Stevie 01-02-2010 03:35 AM

Gig History shows development of thrash

I'm writing up my gig history (1985-present day). I feel it reflects the development of the UK hardcore scene. Also it covers some of the finest thrash bands arguably at their peak. Anyway take a look a http://midnightpunk.wordpress.com Any comments / views on the blog would be appreciated. The blog is active and I aim to add to it frequently. Thanks.

I'd like to check it out, but "Oops! This link appears to be broken." Yeh. Sozz. Anywho, Malefice got some good songs.
So are you telling me you aren't picking up them chocolates you just threw at me? Oh no you didn't! Stop running away from me! Hey! Come back here!...Oh well *picks up chocolates and eats em*
not really into thrash but i checked this out anyway. didn't like it that much - sure there were good parts but it was just way too long imo.

Stevie 01-06-2010 05:59 AM

well breaking the silence was a good sleeping pill so i don't think i'm interested

Nepenthe 01-06-2010 02:37 PM

victims of deception is pretty badass but i dont think ill bother listening to a new album

jrowa001 01-06-2010 02:52 PM

VoD was a great album. may check out the new one

Morumbar 01-06-2010 04:06 PM

I liked some of the songs on Malefice's Dawn Of Reprisal.

Never could get into Heathen for some reason.

And I like Absu's latest release but some of the transitions between riffs feel too random imo.

Nepenthe 01-06-2010 04:25 PM

so did mastery ever find a vocalist or have they just faded away or what

Morumbar 01-06-2010 04:37 PM

They were supposed to record an album last year. Idk, hope to hear something from them in 2010. I have an original copy of Lethal Legacy. Good stuff.

Nepenthe 01-06-2010 04:39 PM

just listened to it for the first time in a long while and remembered how much potential was there

i just hope they get a more aggressive styled vocalist instead of a more high singing voice like say anthrax or heathen

FatalEnergy 01-07-2010 02:36 AM

I'd probably love the new Heathen if I was as into Thrash as I was 6 years ago.

Morumbar 01-07-2010 11:54 AM

The only vocals that I can imagine being fitting for Mastery are in the vein of Exodus' Shovel Headed Kill Machine.

ThrashMaster27 02-02-2010 10:38 PM

I went and checked out a band I've been meaning too for a long time a few days ago... Wehrmacht. After hearing so much praise, I'm disappointed, they suck.

I did play an album I haven't for ages though... Incubus' Serpent Temptation. Now that's an album!
