infomercials? the start of all great classic rock

Woodstock 12-21-2004 08:58 PM

Oh noes, did we forget George Harrison's death anniversary? It was November 29.

jpj 12-21-2004 09:02 PM

No we didn't. Someone said to have 5 minutes of silence and noone listened

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:14 PM

George Harrison is a great guitarist in my opinion. Really melodic.

Woodstock 12-21-2004 09:18 PM

Yep, he always had the perfect tone for a song. And he did become pretty skilled later in the Beatles career.

Badmoon 12-21-2004 09:21 PM

Screw you guys, Polyphonic Spree are cool.

I got samples.

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:22 PM

What are you talking about? This makes no sense!

Badmoon 12-21-2004 09:28 PM

It's outside discussion ;).

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:32 PM
It's outside discussion ;).
All right then. If that's what you want deep down in your heart :thumb:

What is everyone's opinion on Led Zeppelin III?

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 09:35 PM

I think it's a great album. Very creative and diverse.

We try not to talk about Led Zeppelin in here though. So no more about them ;). There's an offical led zeppelin thread for that.

clown_phobia 12-21-2004 09:56 PM

Alright, i'll submit to you wholely.

But then again, nearly every band has an official thread now.

Oh well, whatever.

Illmatic 12-21-2004 10:48 PM

Me no likey Led Zeppelin.

III is okay, but other than that...meh.

TerryThorne 12-21-2004 10:51 PM

That's odd, your favorite zep record is the least-selling of theirs and dont like everyone's favorites.

Illmatic 12-21-2004 10:52 PM

I am what I am.

Mekkalayakay 12-21-2004 11:25 PM

1. Who sings Mrs. Robinson?
2. In Waynes World II, when Wayne is trying to stop the marriage and he's in the convertible, what is that song that is playing? "do dodo do do dodo". Is it Mrs. Robinson?

/so confused and in need of that song :upset:

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 11:26 PM

1. Simon and garfunkle.

2. I have no clue. That movie was so great I didn't pay attention to much other than story.

Mekkalayakay 12-21-2004 11:27 PM

I'll download it and check.

Thanks.

edit: Yeah, I own it. One of my favorite movies. The soundtrack to both Waynes World I and II is awesome.

gmoneyguy 12-21-2004 11:27 PM

S&G is awesome.

KARMAPOL1CE 12-21-2004 11:31 PM
S&G is awesome.
If you guys like Simon and Garfunkel, you should check out the Norwegien band Kings of Convenience. They are amazing.

They harmonize so well, and play acoustic guitars with just as much talent.

BludgeonySteve 12-21-2004 11:44 PM

Paul Simon is one of the best fingerpickers i've ever heard. I'll see if I can download something by them and check.

magicbus 12-21-2004 11:47 PM

We missed Rick Danko's death also. He died on Dec. 10, five years ago.

gmoneyguy 12-22-2004 12:34 AM
