Darkthrone was my entry band into tr00 black metal.

they're relatively well-known (for black metal), but i think their sound and aesthetics are a good introduction into a lot of underground BM

I remember the first time I listened to the song Transilvanian Hunger. I had chills.

i remember listening to a blaze in the northern sky in my room with all the lights turned off

and shivering at the guttural whisperings in the beginning of kathaarian life code

and wondering where kathaaria was, anyway

I did much the same thing but I lit up a king mountain before listening to Transilvanian Hunger.

The second time I ever tripped I listened to Brenoritvrezorkre with the lights off and it seriously freaked me out.

there are two times music has legitimately freaked me out, and both of them were when i listened to stuff from my moms vinyl collection late at night with the lights out

one was Negativland - A Big 10-8 Place
the other was the song "Frankie Teardrop" from Suicide's debut album

Brenoritvrezorkre seriously freaked me out. It was pitch black in my room and I'm tripping balls, like [I]hard[/I] and I'm listening to this **** lol. It was very unnerving.

once you get the pronunciation in your head it's not hard to spell, i used to look at it and it would register as brensadkjnsakjdskjanzerker in my head

It's not that it's hard to say per say but honestly it's not worth the effort in pronouncing a word that long that probably isn't even real.
