I think In Absentia is pretty meh, their earlier stuff actually has some personality and more prog in place of their present lame brand of modern rock.

Midlake - Milkmaid Grand Army EP

Midlake rule and, while this isn't quite up to par with their full releases, this EP is pretty good. It's a lot more lo-fi than their debut.

I know what you mean. I only listen to them on very monotonous days, since they're pretty monotonous. Yeah I get off on that.

Anybody heard the new arcade fire album yet? I got a downloaded copy and was a little disappointed.

It's awesome. It took a while, but I've come to love it. If you like Pink you should really dig it.

That's my favorite Boris album.

The only thing about Boris that I dont like is that they switch genres around too much on a single album.

They have several albums that stick to one genre throughout the whole album: Feedbacker, Flood, Amplifier Worship, Dronevil, Vein, Absolutego, etc.

They send me promos, it comes out in May. It's not bad on first listen, maybe a little more straight rock than their other stuff.

Been a while since I've listened to this. Really solid album. they get too much **** for sounding like Joy Division, IMO.
