I've heard these. Nacho or Tangy would probably have heard most of them.
How could you have heard of Dan the Automator and not Prince Paul? Aren't they both in Handsome Boy Modeling School? Anyway, I also see Fly Pan Am on there, which is funny because someone was complaining that they were the worst band on earth. PS: Bartender's going to kill you if he finds out you haven't heard of The Beta Band. |

Um, maybe Dan's done more than HBMS? (like, lots lots more) |
Are you saying heard or heard of? I have had the opportunity to hear 93% of those bands, but I have not actually heard songs by all of them.
And I haven't heard Handsome Boy Modeling School. |
It makes me happy to see Broadcast on there.
|
I like how they write this completely massive list, containing probably 40 different genres or subgenres... Then at the end they put "etc."
|

That was me, but I was exaggerating. That EP was really terrible, though. |
They were playing Late Registration at Tower

Yeah  Dredg are pretty amazing. Is Catch Without Arms a lot like the song "Bug Eyes"? Because that song is awesome. I only have El Cielo |
I can't stand Dredg.

Not only have I heard them all, I am in fact a founding member of most of them. What's up Indie? |
I just got a mail from "The Mars Volta <fanclub@umrg.myreg.net>":
News Tuesday, November 8th, the mars volta will release scabdates. scabdates will feature renditions of Volta tracks recorded live over the course of 2003-2005 touring in support of this year's Frances The Mute and 2003's De-Loused In The Comatorium, drawn out to their epic, endurance-defying lengths, making for a 74-minute sampling of the Mars Volta live experience, with packaging featuring the photography of longtime Volta collaborator Danielle Van Ark. Scabdates was assembled, produced and mixed by Omar A Rodriguez-Lopez. All music by Omar A Rodriguez-Lopez, all lyrics by Cedric Bixler Zavala, and performed by The Mars Volta. The track listing for scabdates is as follows: 1. abrasions mount the timpani 2. take the veil cerpin taxt 3. a) gust of mutts 4. b) and ghosted pouts 5. caviglia 6. concertina 7. haruspex 8. cicatriz 9. a) pt I 10.b) pt II 11. c) pt III 12. d) pt IV
The smell of fake is overwhelming. Anyone else got it? I don't get what's up with it. Is someone trying to steal my money? |

I guess you could always check out comatorium.com or the band's official website to see if any of this is true. Or just wait until November 8th! |
Awhile ago everyone in my school was completely drenched from walking in the rain for an hour or so but we got free hotdogs after so whoopee.

Went to see The Longest Yard at the cinema today. It was pretty good, but then again I've loved every Adam Sandler film I've seen so far.
|
I have a shiny $7000 Yanagisawa bari sax with a gold plated Selmer mouth piece sitting in my bedroom. It feels good to be in the school jazz band.
|
haha 7,000 dollar dollar.

Brrr. It's Friday night and I'm bored and it's really cold and I'm hoping some Stevie Wonder will cheer me up.
|
I had a real nice idea for a post-rock song, Mogwai style last night. At least I think it's nice. If I upload the rough idea, will people listen?

Definately. Anyway, The Mars Volta is playing live with System of a Down next week. Should I spend $44 just to see TMV open? |

Anyway, The Mars Volta is playing live with System of a Down next week. Should I spend $44 just to see TMV open?
Yeah, I'd go. That show is here in Vancouver tomorrow. I considered going, but I kinda procrastinated on buying tickets for too long :-\ |
Yeah, but my dad was opposed to me going though. So yeah, maybe...
|
I came home from a football game and my dad asked me how to grow shrooms. It was some akward conversation.
I've been really tired out from wrestling this whole week and I've been swamped with homework. Thank God it's the weekend finally. |

I like both of those bands, and I'm probably one of the few people who does! Eh, they'll probably just ruin it anyway. TMV's songs supposedly go on too long, even for jams, and SOAD supposedly has bad sound live. But what if those people are lying? |
Oh, I heard SOAD is good live but I dunno.
About TMV I heard Cedric is always trying to do something to show off onstage and doesn't sing half the time. |
Here is an interesting piece on SOAD.
|
There are a lot of mistakes, namely the part where I randomly speed up, but try to ignore them. I basically recorded this so I wouldn't forget the idea.
