I've been listening to lots of Funkadelic and Lee "Scratch" Perry today. I also was liking this mix of really early rocksteady songs my dad's Jamaican friend made for me today.

asymm 08-10-2006 10:52 PM

I'm on a vacation currently and I visited a new record store. So, I've been digging two of my purchases from there.

Comets on Fire - Avatar

I missed one that I don't have. I'm actually missing 9.

Little Man being Erased 08-11-2006 01:50 AM

Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
NoMeansNo - Wrong
Girl Talk - Night Ripper

Little Earthquakes is an album that I've had for ages but never properly listened to. But holy crap it is awesome. Wrong needs no explaining. And I finally managed to get my hands on the Girl Talk album (damn I'm slow) and I'm digging the shit out of it right now.

YDload 08-11-2006 02:35 AM

The Jesus Lizard- Goat

i've had just two songs from that album on my computer for a while now, i cant believe it took me this long to get the whole thing (had only "Mouth Breater" and "Nub"). I really like "Seasick" now too :)

I Was A Kaleidoscope 08-11-2006 03:07 AM

The Frogs - It's Only Right And Natural
Mulholland Drive soundtrack.

Yeah, it is.

Been listening to Luxury's Health and Sport. It's becoming my favourite album of 2005.

ATM 08-11-2006 08:13 AM

Glad to see everyone is liking Easter.

Little Man being Erased 08-11-2006 08:39 AM

I got Peeping Tom yesterday too. It's pretty good I guess. I'll give it a few more listens and let y'all know what I think then. 'Cause I know you all want to know.

ATM 08-11-2006 08:43 AM

I couldn't really get into it. Granted, I'm not a huge Mike Patton fan, but I gave Peeping Tom quite a few listens and never really dug on it.

Little Man being Erased 08-11-2006 08:46 AM

Yeah I've never really listened to any Mike Patton bands except for Faith No More, so we'll see how I go.

asdf 08-11-2006 09:51 AM

Sunny Rollins, Estradasphere, Jim's Big Ego, Frank Zappa, Uz Jsme Doma, Herbie Hancock, Jaga Jazzist, A Tuba Ensemble, and King Crimson

But only one song from each.

I never thought I'd enjoy being in what is pretty much a cover band so much.

Then again I never thought I'd be in a band.

They're so chaotic. It's great.

Speaking of chaotic - yo Daniel, can I snag that first Cows album from you on soulseek? It's working again for me, so I'm online just now.

I adore Angelo Badalamenti's work a ton, especially his stuff for Twin Peaks.
