what about pierced from within?

masscows 04-23-2008 08:38 AM

That's my favorite of theirs.

ninjamonkey 04-23-2008 09:27 AM
Breeding the Spawn is very underrated. It's almost as good as Effigy, imo. In fact it would probably be even better than Effigy if it wasn't for its production.
but suffo slams

Well a song from Unquestionable Presence popped in on shuffle so now I'm listening to Elements with Unquestionable Presence up next. Don't have Piece of Time.

negrodamus 04-23-2008 02:15 PM

Eliminator 04-23-2008 02:17 PM

Seriously

Tyler 04-23-2008 02:24 PM

I'll get it eventually now that I'm finally enjoying them

Deth 04-23-2008 02:44 PM

Piece of Time is great. Even if you didn't like the other two albums, odds are you would like Piece of Time.

ArcLite 04-23-2008 02:56 PM

I could never get into Cynic either...Call me shallow, but the robo-voice was too much for me.

Mother Man is one of my all time favorite songs.

pate 04-23-2008 03:10 PM

Piece of Time is more 'normal' than UP and Elements.

I bought my UP shirt from Kelly. :thumb:

Eliminator 04-23-2008 03:11 PM

its weird saying robo-voice is retarded but vocoder isn't

ArcLite 04-23-2008 03:26 PM

Get off me and my retarded robo-voice

VomitStainedCretin 04-23-2008 05:58 PM

Since Gorguts was recently mentioned, I've just recently got me some Considered Dead/Erosion of Sanity and it is most excellent.

Angmar 04-23-2008 06:05 PM

Hey Tyler is liking Atheist, awesome.

@ Gorguts: Yeah, first 2 albums rule, everything else is pretty bad.

I'm curious about Obscura - it does seem you either consider it an aberration or a masterpiece without any middle ground - and I love the t/t to From Wisdom To Hate.

Angmar 04-23-2008 06:07 PM

Are you trying to make a point young man?

Eliminator 04-23-2008 06:07 PM

i just summarized that album you dont even need to hear it now

Angmar 04-23-2008 06:09 PM

Oh yeah, that sums up Obscura quite well.

Deth 04-23-2008 06:11 PM

idk I quite like Obscura in small doses. I know that it's a terrible album (or should be) though.

Angmar 04-23-2008 06:13 PM

The Erosion of Sanity is easily my favorite Gorguts album, it has a fair share of technicality but it isn't hard to take or random in the least. Plus, the vocals rule.

Tyler 04-23-2008 06:15 PM

You never hear much about Gorguts last album. What little I've heard of it wasnt that bad either, it was a more traditional sounding album that still had a bit of an Obscura-edge to it, only it seemed more cohesive and less abrasive.
