No. HCDR is far better than AYDY. So you can't put them in the same boat. Granted AYDY isn't at the level of previous work, it's great none the less.

Living Dead Beat, AYDY, In Your Face, Bastards Of Bodom, TL&S and We're Not Gonna Fall are excellent.

yeah point taken ..but the tracks 'In the shadows' and kissing the shadows >> the whole new album.

Not ****ty, but a bit worse (in my eyes anyway). Still quality music but just not my type at the moment.

i think everyone should gave AYDY a chance. listen to this album some more time and you will realize that its good. the only thing that i miss on AYDY are the solos - they are not special. alexi wrote much better solos in his earlier records but on AYDY they are 08/15 in my eyes.

Well, I used to love the album and now it's not too big with me. At least i'm not one of those who listened to 2 or 3 songs and said it sucked, haha.

the first time i listend was: "aha, they changed their style, they aren't as melodic as they used to be, but its good"

after some time: "wow, its amazing... the song structures are more complex then ever"

once again, after some time: "no, its a bad album... i don't like it"

i haven't listened to it for a long time, and then some weeks ago i started to like it once again. now i don't know what to say about AYDY - on the one hand i know that the guitar work is decent (i only miss good solos), on the other hand the drum annoys me and i don't know what to say about their new style. so i'm inbetween -> excellent/bad - i can't decide

I think me and Ben are the only people that truely love AYDY. There's nothing wrong with it at all. In Your Face, Living Dead Beat and We're Not Gonna Fall are some of my favourite Children of Bodom songs, period.

I only like two songs off of it but im glad that some people like what i think is there worst album or maybe there worst album who knows.

the first CoB album i got was HCDR and i still love it.
and AYDY is good, its not my favourite release but i think i will like it someday.

for me the NIN live cd is the best live cd i ever listened to, followed by Tokyo Warhearts.
